Anyone who grew up in Hoima knows how far Hoima Regional Referral Hospital has come.
Hoima Regional Referral Hospital’s new face, especially that state-of-the-art ICU block, is a massive win for Uganda government.
Shortcomings exist, but today we give credit to the government for this infrastructural upgrade.
Today, my wife and I paid a courtesy visit to the Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker, Thomas Tayebwa, a humble and truly blessed leader. We are grateful for his invaluable words of wisdom and encouragement on marriage, family, and building a strong home.
And of course, the visit came with an added bonus, we shall be picking up two beautiful cows from his farm in Mitooma next week! 😍🐄.. Thank you, Rt. Hon. for your generosity and warm hospitality. 🙏
“40% of all entrepreneurs and young people we work with are residents of rural areas, so they identify as rural-based, and that again is deliberate. We make sure that all of the awareness is focused across the entire African continent. We do deep penetration to ensure that any young person, anywhere on the continent, is aware of this opportunity, that they can apply on https://t.co/xohGm05iGW and access this learning for free, as well as funding, training, etc. for their businesses.”
- Our CEO, Somachi Chris-Asoluka At the Fourth United Nations LDC Future Forum
At the Tony Elumelu Foundation, inclusion is not an afterthought, it is intentional, deliberate, and central to everything we do.
40% of the entrepreneurs we support are based in rural communities across Africa. That is why we ensure our awareness efforts reach every corner of the continent, so that no young person is left behind because of where they live.
Through deep, continent-wide outreach, we make sure aspiring entrepreneurs can discover opportunities, apply on TEFConnect, access free training, mentorship, and funding to build their businesses.

Today, I had the privilege of inaugurating the Board of E-Express Bus, a strategic subsidiary of Kiira Motors established to accelerate Uganda's e-mobility journey and commercialize home-grown innovation.
The Board's role goes beyond oversight. It is to provide strategic leadership, uphold strong corporate governance, champion sustainability, embrace digital transformation and AI, and unlock partnerships that drive growth and long-term value for Uganda.
The future of Uganda's 10x growth strategy will be significantly supported by innovative ecosystems that not only depend on great ideas, but on institutions that are well governed, accountable, and built to sustain economic growth.
Today I joined the Hon. Minister Desire Muhooza at her Thanksgiving party at the Sheraton Hotel.
Hon. Desire, I congratulate you on your swearing-in today as the Minister of State for Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
Glory be to the Lord.
If we’re serious about fighting corruption, we can’t stop at exciting the public with House arrests and headlines. People must be prosecuted and convicted so everyone learns the lesson. This habit of forgiving, only for them to fight us again later demoralizes every anti-corruption crusader. You can’t convict Nandutu over 300 iron sheets, then forgive the one who stole the entire economy. The law must apply equally big or small fish.
