I have faith that whatever happens to me is willed by God for my benefit. It’s easy when things go well.. much harder when things don’t. Still no matter what I remain fearless and steadfast in my faith. All glory.
Ngl my height was one of the things that made me take fitness seriously. God can’t bless you height and you’d just let your body go.
That’s self sabotage.
80% of men only get truly close to their fathers after 25.
Not because time magically fixes things but because the power struggle finally ends. You step onto the same frequency. He stops seeing you as just “the boy” and starts seeing you as a brother, a friend, a fellow man carrying the weight of life.
Suddenly, you both understand each other’s struggles. The real bond begins there.
Fathers in their 50s and beyond start thinking about legacy and how little time is left. Sons in their late 20s begin to feel that painful awareness that these people who raised us won’t be here forever. That mutual realization cracks something open between you.
As a boy, you saw Dad as Superman… or sometimes the villain. But after 25, the mask falls. You see him as a man full of flaws, fears, regrets, and quiet sacrifices he never spoke about. That’s when admiration turns into deep respect nd compassion.
You finally understand why he did the things he did. Every decision, every silence, every tough luv, it all makes sense now, because life has humbled you too.
Growing up, if anyone had told me my pop and I would one day be this close talking business, struggles, women, and my hardest decisions , I would’ve laughed.
But here we are.
And I’ve just realized… I really, really like this man.
My heart aches knowing one day he won’t be here.
I just want him to stay longer. 🥲
It seems that a sizable portion of Man United fans are not responding well to this. I see things differently:
1) Iraola was available before Wilcox and Berrada made the decision to go with Carrick. This is the kind of strategic management they are paid for. So if they knew that Iraola was available and still went with Carrick, that can only mean that they deem Carrick a better fit for the club. This is a conversation for the end of the season.
2) Ironically, Iraola’s appointment at Liverpool will mean that they will be determined not to be proven wrong. So we could potentially witness one of the best transfer windows in the history of the club in order to provide Carrick with all the required tools to succeed.
3) Whoever gets appointed by our rivals is none of our business. The principles of stoicism dictate that the best way to achieve long term success is to focus on ourselves and not fret over what we can’t control.
4) Michael Carrick is no slouch.
Some Nigerians 🇳🇬, corruption has eaten so deep into our minds that many of us now see faults in every good thing happening around us... 💔😢
When Rangers International F.C of Enugu flew to Lagos two days ago aboard Enugu Air ✈️, many people still complained, saying it was just eye service and that it didn’t mean the league was progressing.
Then, when Enugu Rangers defeated Ikorodu City right in their own backyard, some people immediately called it bribery, claiming Rangers bought the match.
Wait! How much exactly would Rangers offer Ikorodu City, a team that needed the match more than anyone else? A win for Ikorodu City yesterday would have secured them a CAF Confederation Cup slot next season. For just the preliminary round alone, they could earn over ₦135 million, and if they qualified for the group stage, they could pocket over ₦500 million.
We should rather celebrate the progress of our league, the growing interest from fans in Nigerian football, and the free and fair officiating we witnessed yesterday. Rangers fans stormed Lagos with over 10 buses and filled the stadium to the brim. Honestly, you could hardly recognize the away stand yesterday because of the massive support.
If bribery were to happen yesterday, logically it would have been Ikorodu City trying to influence officials because they were the side that needed the result most due to the huge financial benefits attached to continental qualification.
Corruption has eaten so deep into our minds that many people now see faults in every good thing happening around them... 💔
Enough of the negativity. Let’s celebrate Enugu Rangers for a job well done and also appreciate the league management for the improvements we witnessed this season. 👏🏽🇳🇬
