Humbled to receive a copy of the Biography of Ramogi Achieng’ Oneko one of the Kapenguria six, who also paid a very steep price for the freedom we enjoy today. His grandson Ochieng delivered it. We all need to constantly remind ourselves where we have come from lest we go back.
For over a decade, I have not held an elected office. Yet my commitment to justice, constitutionalism, and the rights of Kenyans has never wavered.
I did not enter public life in search of status or privilege. I entered it to serve and that purpose remains unchanged.
The struggle for a better Kenya does not begin at the ballot box, nor does it end with an election. It is a lifelong commitment to the people.

@kamauwaruhiu Hauna nywele lakini uko na akili mingi we mzee. Very insightful. Also just to add, farmers can use their soil to build a house & not be slaves to mortgage firms for decades
There is a reason why farming is under attack , there is nobody that is more free than a farmer . Anybody that can go behind his house and come back with an entire meal everyday for a month without buying anything . Anybody that can survive outside the banking system, anybody that can liquidate his investment at a moments notice without signing all those source of funds things . Anybody that can drink herbs instead of buying pharmacy medicine. This is someone the gorvement cannot control.
Think back afew years when corona came , whose quality of life wasn't affected as much. If you want to know true freedom ,plant your own food and medicine , nothing will scare you . They can t even turn off your water unless they bribe the sky .
The IMF is fully aware of this and keeps pushing the gorvement to cripple the agricultural industry by having people concentrate on the economic aspect planting and raising animals that you can only sell then buying things you can produce . Why would you plant coffee ,sell the coffee and buy food 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣?.
Why not plant food sell what you dnt need for money you can use for other things.
To hoodwink you into thinking everything is still ok , politicians will farm as a hobby ,think about it who is the biggest "farmer" you know ? Probably your local politician ,putting tiles and sleeping mattresses for his girirando cows.
When you decide to farm ,plant things you eat , my wise Kikuyu elders say . Wealth is what remains after your stomach is full.
Kikuyus, like all other Kenyans, reject a regime they see as oppressive. No one supports a government that leaves them with empty pockets through excessive taxes and policies that only deepen poverty.
So let me ask you, @kipkoechbryan:
Are you comfortable contributing to a housing levy for a house you neither asked for nor know its location; especially when you already have a home?
Are you okay with reduced school capitation, shifting even more burden onto already struggling parents?
Are you satisfied with SHA costing billions, yet still plagued by the same inefficiencies and corruption people complained about under NHIF?
Are you content with constant promises and rhetoric from leadership that appears busy, yet delivers little meaningful change?
These are the questions many Kenyans are asking today.
No one hates Ruto because of his tribe. Kikuyus overwhelmingly voted for him in 2022. Its his oppressive policies that have made him lose favour.
Banks can now be held liable if they fail to protect money mistakenly sent to the wrong account after being notified.
The decision comes after the High Court ruled that lenders must take reasonable steps to safeguard disputed funds and help customers recover them.
@Dialmaterialist This is spot on. Even some national schools which are on average more resourced give there students 1 egg once a week yet on average eggs are so much cheaper than beef & a great source of protein.
Hats off to the people of Ol Kalou. Everything was thrown at you; bribery, violence, intimidation, state power, but you stood firm. Congratulations to Sammy Kamau and the entire DCP team for that resounding victory.
The biggest lesson Ruto should pick from the Ol Kalou by-election is that the will of the people will always prevail.
You started losing the moment you thought you were bigger than the people. The moment you believed no one could question how you’re spending our taxes. The moment you surrounded yourself with yes men instead of listening to Kenyans. The moment you thought appointments and political games would divide people who are united by one thing: they’re tired.
The bribes didn’t work. The intimidation didn’t work. The goons didn’t work. Nothing worked😂😂
The moment you see Kenyans escorting ballot boxes to the tallying centre, they are simply telling you, “Come on, we’re not fools.”
No amount of money, threats or state power can defeat a people who have already made up their minds. WANTAM
Today the people of Olkalau have exercised their sovereignty in more than one way - by choosing their member of parliament, and by exercising their right to safeguard their votes from interference. Congratulations for showing the way and demonstrating to the country that it can be done!
That a people united shall never be defeated .
Congratulations to you , to your MP elect Sammy Kamau Ngotho, and to @DCP_Democracy party leader @rigathi@senatormethu@WanjikuMuhia and entire @DCP_Democracy leadership and members who tirelessly worked to make it happen #OlkalauByElection
