POWERFUL: #Buccaneers legend Lavonte David was crying at his press conference today talking about becoming a GIRL DAD.
“I thought I needed a son to become a man… but having a daughter made me one”
“Having a girl showed me what really matters in life”

NOBODY talks about the late 30s to 40s personality shift… where you no longer want to be impressive. You want to be more rested, uninterested, and completely unavailable to anything that’s draining.
Airport pickups are such a show of love. Doesn’t matter if it is romantic or platonic. Anyone who picks you from the airport that you aren’t paying to do so, actually loves you.
My kid just texted me "🐞".
It's code for "I want to come home, but I want it to be your fault." One random emoji that means "Get me out of here." I call, I show up, I make an excuse. I get to be the "bad guy." They get to leave safely—without being a "tattletale", without losing face with friends, without pressure. Every kid deserves that kind of safety net. Parents: pick your family's emoji. What's yours going to be?
I don't think people understand, you can literally drive someone to a point of not wanting to be bothered with you at all, on any level. Rather it's a friendship, relationship, family, it's only so much one person can take.
