Responding to this, because I have seen a number of people say it. I don’t think of Kylie as a homemaker, I think of her as my wife. I think of her as a mother. She has an occupation, as do I, and we keep our house the best we can. Our marriage is a partnership, we are equals who are figuring it out on the daily. The only expectation is that we love each other, support one another, and are committed to our family, that comes first. We both raise our kids, we both work, We both keep our home. It is both our faults it is messy, but such is life with 3 young children, busy schedules, and neither of us being neat freaks. She also makes a mean sandwhich.
If being a homemaker, works for some, and that’s what they want, then hell yea, that’s awesome, more power to you. I want to be clear, I’m not downplaying that at all, but that is not our family dynamic.
@MasonryStyle We hung around with our other only child friend and the grownups in our house and grew up way too fast because they didn’t get a practice kid or someone else to yell at 🙃 we planned how we were gonna be grownups and do everything better and easier than our own grownups did.
@J_A_D_E_94 @lexigmcqueen 12 seems way more normal to me than everyone saying 20+ or 100+ 😵💫 my hubs is only 5 so 🤷🏼♀️ we also got married at 20 and he was always a serial monogamist in HS so maybe it’s a single 20s guy thing lol 😆 I’ve def known guys with higher counts for sure!
@BrookeKramer13 PNW; WA, OR, ID. WA specifically has lots of state resources and most counties/towns have smaller local resources + organizations that can help. I can think of a few in my specific area alone that have anon housing for women and children only that need a safe space to sleep.
@BrookeKramer13 Tbh I wouldn’t go around any of them anymore. I wouldn’t invite them to my home, I wouldn’t go to their home, I wouldn’t even meet them at a neutral location. That kind of toxicity is a hard no for me and my children. I probably wouldn’t even talk to them and just have no contact
