I have been warning about not being able to trust what we see on the internet for a while now. These images have been created by prompting @Microsoft #Copilot or @bing using lesser-known synonyms or old English words in order to avoid #censorship. The LLM, whether Copilot or @OpenAI's #ChatGPT then creates the final prompt and sends it to the diffusion model #DallE3 which outputs the images. No harm intended, just trying to make a point. As a philologist and lover of tech, I am worried about the wider societal consequences of these tools as much as I enjoy using them.
