aaaaaaaaaaa

just an idiot who likes games (except Sony, screw you I want my physical games) and tech, nothing too interesting to see here

@HapyWanderer @1983_fabrizio For me I lean towards it being a Nintendo CDN kind of deal because that just makes the most sense to me, but regardless glad to contribute and I hope you’re able to find more solid evidence about where it is that I was able to.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@HapyWanderer @1983_fabrizio I should clarify I don’t like GKCs but I still find them preferable to just getting the game on the eshop since you can lend or sell it and have a bit more control.

@HapyWanderer @1983_fabrizio This famiboards article and the comment in the attached photo (provide it’s come through) https://t.co/15UYYqEwu0

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@that1toku @AnAverageGamerX The N64 could run GTA VI with that logic

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@HapyWanderer @1983_fabrizio I looked into it, they don’t use the eshop but they do still use Nintendo’s CDN, it’s not like sega or whoever hosts the downloads.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@HapyWanderer @1983_fabrizio Maybe I’m blind but where does it specify they’re not downloaded through the eShop? And where did they say that?

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@MetroidFREAK21 Switch sports resort and dragon quest 11, I want to give rpgs another go and my friend told me DQ11 is a good starter one

Also I’m not planning to get OoT, I’m not really a Zelda guy myself.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@whatifmiles @SomeKirbyFan Yes, you can also use a steam deck for the exploit.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@SNova936 @SomeKirbyFan Waddle doo pfp gang unite

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@squirtkipfan01 Part of me thinks they’ll add themes at some point because why else would they have carried the dedicated themes menu forward? Not saying I definitely think it’ll happen but I feel like, there’s a chance.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@NSuperGamerGuy The mii maker update gives me a bit of hope that they’re at least kind of listening tbh

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@frokfrdk I enjoy modern Kirby games far more than the old ones. In general aside from some old arcade-y games I just prefer modern games, they look and control better.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@catgirlprostate I just worry that those games being more popular with the younger generation will eventually lead to traditional singleplayer games falling out of favour with developers in pursuit of live service slop.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@ralsrags I like the Wii and DSi menus, they have nice music and stuff but also feel very out of the way because of how fast you can get in game from them. The 3DS and Wii U menus were way too slow in my opinion, 3DS not being as bad as Wii U though.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@theretrosunset GKC isn’t ideal for me but I still prefer it to just digital.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@SomeKirbyFan Also, no MLC errors yet is a good sign but isfshax is still a good idea.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@SomeKirbyFan This isn’t the end, look into Isfshax and redNAND. I also have a Hynix console but I have isfshax installed so if the nand goes I can just set up redNAND and keep playing

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@JELKK11 Valid concern but a bit unwarranted at the moment, from my memory Wii download servers are still active. You can’t buy new stuff but you can redownload what you’ve purchased in the past.

I see no reason to think GKC downloads won’t be functional 20 years down the line.

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@possiblyazure Because Rufus doesn’t support macOS

[aaaaaaaaaaa @aaaaaaaaaacsfb]

@mrdeathbunny @vivigrot @ShakezulaDaRula I like both, but the deck is more situational because I like it when it’s working and not having some dumb issue.
