Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read this. I would like to address the issue of unsportsmanlike behavior displayed by one of the teams during the "Rookie CUP" tournament for beginner Dead by Daylight players. Some of you may think this is a minor issue, but I believe it is worth talking about in order to show the attitude of one of the teams associated with the competitive DBD scene.

The tournament took place on August 1st–2nd. First of all, I'd like to point out that this was not a professional event, but an amateur tournament intended for small streamers and beginner members of the Dead by Daylight community.

During the tournament, a very serious situation occurred. One of the five teams initially appeared to consist of ordinary players who were just beginning their journey with the game. However, once the matches started, it quickly became apparent that "Brötchenteam" was performing at an unexpectedly high level, which immediately caught the attention of the tournament administrators (huge thanks to them <3). Their camera movement, looping skills, and ability to use perks in the most optimal way possible (such as perfectly timing Sprint Burst) made it clear that something was off, prompting the organizers to conduct a verification. Two members of the team clearly did not play like beginners, despite their Steam profiles showing only 16 and 20 hours played in Dead by Daylight. That was when the investigation began.

Getting to the main point—in a tournament intended for BEGINNERS, two participants were actually members of Vine, a legitimate Polish competitive Dead by Daylight team. When the truth came to light, the team's captain attempted to distance herself from the situation and convince everyone that they had played fairly. However, her claims were undermined when one of the participants, who had been posing as a player in the tournament, admitted that they had cheated by swapping accounts.

On top of that, we have been, and continue to be, the target of trash talk from members of Vine as well as the rest of "Brötchenteam." During the tournament, another unacceptable incident occurred in which one of the streamers was treated terribly by members of Sobol's community (the tournament commentator) and by Bułka, the captain of "Brötchenteam." She received numerous hurtful and disrespectful messages.

I am writing this post for one reason only—to show the kind of mentality it takes to enter a tournament where teams consisted of players with anywhere between 7 and 1,200 hours in the game while using players from the competitive Dead by Daylight scene, then lie about it and complain after losing. What also leaves a very bad impression is the attitude of Team Vine, who, without any sense of sportsmanship, agreed to take part in this deception and later mocked the other participants, justifying their actions by saying: "We just wanted to teach you how to play."

Być może niektórym wyda się to błahostką, jednak uważam, że warto o tym powiedzieć, aby pokazać podejście jednej z drużyn związanych ze sceną kompetetywną.

Turniej odbył się w dniach 01.08–02.08. Od razu zaznaczę, że nie był to turniej profesjonalny, a zwykłe amatorskie wydarzenie przeznaczone dla małych streamerów z community DBD.

Podczas turnieju doszło do karygodnej sytuacji. Jedna z pięciu drużyn na pierwszy rzut oka składała się ze zwykłych graczy, którzy dopiero rozpoczynali swoją przygodę z grą. Jednak gdy rozpoczęły się mecze, okazało się, że drużyna "Brötchenteam" prezentuje zaskakująco wysoki poziom umiejętności, co od razu zwróciło uwagę administratorów turnieju (za co bardzo dziękujemy <3). Movement kamerą, umiejętność loopowania, wykorzystywanie perków w najlepszy możliwy sposób (np. odpowiednie wyczekiwanie Sprint Bursta) sprawiły, że organizatorzy natychmiast postanowili przeprowadzić weryfikację. Dwie osoby z tej drużyny zdecydowanie nie prezentowały poziomu typowego dla amatorów, mimo że ich profile Steam wskazywały zaledwie 16 i 20 godzin spędzonych w grze. Wtedy rozpoczęło się śledztwo.

Przechodząc do sedna – w turnieju dla AMATORÓW brały udział dwie osoby z drużyny Vine, czyli realnie istniejącego polskiego zespołu kompetetywnego Dead by Daylight. Gdy cała sytuacja wyszła na jaw, kapitanka drużyny próbowała umyć ręce i przekonać wszystkich uczestników, że wszystko odbywało się fair. Na jej niekorzyść zadziałał jednak jeden z uczestników, który podawał się za osobę biorącą udział w turnieju, ponieważ sam przyznał, że oszukiwali i zamieniali się kontami.

Mało tego – byliśmy i nadal jesteśmy shittalkowani przez drużynę Vine, jej uczestników oraz pozostałych członków "Brötchenteam". Podczas samego turnieju doszło również do kuriozalnej sytuacji, w której jedna ze streamerek została bardzo źle potraktowana przez community Sobola (komentatora turnieju) oraz Bułki (kapitanki drużyny "Brötchenteam"). W jej kierunku kierowano wiele przykrych i nieprzyjemnych wiadomości.

Piszę tę wiadomość wyłącznie po to, aby pokazać, jaką mentalność trzeba mieć, żeby na turniej, w którym drużyny składały się z osób mających od 7 do 1200 godzin w grze, wystawić zawodników ze środowiska comp DBD, a następnie kłamać i narzekać po przegranej. Ogromny niesmak pozostawia również postawa Team Vine, który bez cienia honoru zgodził się na oszustwo, a później wyśmiewał pozostałych uczestników, tłumacząc swoje zachowanie słowami: „Chcieliśmy nauczyć was grać.”
