“Is this worth my time? Does this bring me productivity, joy, or calm? I think these are the questions design has always helped answer.”
Thank you to @joellewenstein and the @AnthropicAI design team for opening up about how you work, the challenges you face, and how you see the role of design evolving on product teams.

Introducing Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in our new Claude 5.5 family.
It performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks, and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.
Claude Opus 5.5 drew every frame of this animation in JavaScript.
Everyone in town sends Claude their requests, but one girl sends a question instead: "What do you love?"
my first biiiiiig launch at anthropic is finally here!! 🫶
projects are a huge labor of love from the claude code team - it's the only way i've been working with claude for the last several months (including using projects...to build projects!!)
spam the coordinator with any and all tasks you have on the fly, and watch claude smartly delegate your work to threads and report back to you with only the things that need your attention. enjoy <33
@mitchellh@bcherny I’d have it replace the Claude logo on hover but it creates too much movement and we’re trying to make the UI as stable and predictable as possible. That said I have some ideas for how we could get around this in future iterations for the sidebar stay tuned!
@bcherny@mitchellh Yes cmd + . Dusan that’s right. Mitchell agree with you and on desktop we’ve managed to keep it in one place but on web it’s a little harder with “Claude” taking the top left spot. Given you can hover to peek though, what’s the use case for opening and closing straight away?
Today we're launching a rebuilt version of Claude Code on desktop.
The app has been redesigned for the ground up to make it easier than ever to parallelize work with Claude.
I haven't opened an IDE or terminal in weeks. Excited for you all to give it a shot!
Claude can now build interactive charts and diagrams, directly in the chat.
Available today in beta on all plans, including free.
