A professor posted a picture of me during coverage of the #RoseBowl, and this is someone responding to it.

He’s right. This is America, where people of any race, gender, ethnicity, background should be able to do whatever it is they’re passionate about. I’m blessed.

Brother Amin Abdullah was the guard at the mosque in San Diego for years. He was instrumental in stopping the shooters from reaching the children today. This was his final post on FB. On these holiest days, may Allah have mercy on him and accept him as a martyr. Ameen

Thanks to the kindness of Chuck Neinas, @aabdelda was fortunate enough to make the same discovery that so many of us had made through the years: that he could explain complex elements in a changing industry that helped us understand. We are all better for having known him.

[Sports Capital Jour @SportsCapJour]

From the archives: Chuck Neinas, who died Tuesday at the age of 93, explained to ⁦@aabdelda⁩ in 2017 how the legal challenge taken by the University of Georgia and University of Oklahoma in the 1980s changed the college sports industry forever. https://t.co/xl1yLI6wtu

As good as these playoffs have been, and as good as the Finals have been, hoop fans deserved to watch this series end with Tyrese Haliburton on the floor, and let the best team win from there.

Not to mention HE deserved the chance to finish this series.

[Zak Keefer @zkeefer]

Outplayed badly for three full quarters.
Turned it over a billion times in the first half.
Didn't lead ALL night until 0.3 left.

Pacers up 1-0 in the NBA Finals.

Are you kidding me?!?

[Molly Morrison @mollyhannahm]

every other pacers playoff game is just “there’s no way they’re gonna do it again” “they can’t possibility do it again” “oh my god they’re doing it again”

[Big Cat @BarstoolBigCat]

Holy fucking shit. These Pacers. They never ever stop

Gone is a genocidal president too hypocritical to admit it. And in comes a genocidal president who wears it as a badge of honor.
