New Ways team in Barawe has carried out sanitation and hygiene awareness activities under the @CatholicRelief WASHFIRST Project. Through household visits, FGDs, and hygiene promotion sessions, they advanced community knowledge and practices for better sanitation and hygiene.

Many children in Somalia drop out of school when families lose their livelihood. Muscab was one of these kids in Galkacyo who dropped out of school because of displacements but thanks a local community group that raise awareness on education, Muscab returned to school in 2024.
Across the Southwest Region of Somalia, access to water is limited to specific areas. In May this year, we have constructed and rehabilitated shallow water wells in the town of Afgoi where communities have full access to water points now. Thanks to @shf_somalia for the support.

Last week, New Ways Organization conduced community-wide hygiene kits distribution campaign in Afgoi as part of @shf_somalia’s integrated WASH project. Distributions were made in Mareeray, Tawakal, Balgure, Wanjeelow and Bulo-elay villages in Afgoi district.
