Let me say something.

I agree that the subsidy was a cancer, and I agree with President Tinubu for removing it.

But one thing the APC government has constantly failed to do is show prudence, empathy, accountability, and probity.

Nigerians cannot be suffering and living in fear of their safety daily, and we see elected government officials living in opulence and brazingly weaponizing poverty.

It's like adding salt to our injuries.
From how they display wealth, to even the convoy of elected officials and their arrogance, it shows that they do not see themselves as public servants.

Rather, they see themselves as messiahs who are not answerable to the citizens and can do anything and get away with it.

We have seen several politicians who have fraudulent cases to answer being welcomed to APC in particular, and their cases are no longer being pursued or prosecuted.

If you want Nigerians to endure the suffering, the least you can do as a government is to ensure the safety of their lives of almost non-existent properties.

And it must be reflected in the conduct and utterances of political office holders.

This is where the leaders get it wrong:

Displaying questionable wealth in the midst of poverty, and showing a lack of empathy.

Therefore, Nigerians have the right to be angry. And Nigerians have the right to reject a failed government.

You cannot lead us by force, and you must show readiness to conduct free and fair elections and commit to handing over power should you lose in that election.

Just as GEJ did.

The Nigerian presidency is not Tinubu's birthright, neither is APC the only political party, nor are their supporters the privileged citizens.

I am a legitimate taxpayer and a law-abiding citizen, and so are millions of us. And I fear for the future of my children.

The health sector is crumbling, and this government has the audacity to show us the receipts.
Minister Ali Pate just admitted: Out of ₦218 BILLION budgeted for capital projects in the Ministry of Health in 2025, only ₦36 MILLION was released. That's 0.016% basically pocket change that couldn't even fix one broken hospital generator.

Meanwhile, ₦500 MILLION was released to the Special Assistant to the President on Media & Policy Communications for "strategic global media engagement. "Let that sink in. We can't build hospitals, equip labs, hire more doctors, or fix decaying facilities for citizens dying from preventable diseases... but we have half a billion naira to polish the government's image abroad?
Priorities: Propaganda over people.

Image laundering over lives saved. Nigerians are suffering, no sleep, no healthcare, no hope while funds meant for our survival are diverted to "strategic" PR stunts. This isn't governance. This is daylight robbery of our future. If this doesn't wake us up, nothing will.

We should demand better. Demand accountability. Demand our money works for US.

Even me I am overwhelmed with work in Lagos.

My field as an ENT Surgeon we no reach 500 wey Dey Nigeria,
For Lagos we no reach 30. Inside this 30 wey remain some na half leg in Nigeria and half leg abroad

The truth is just as we have insecurity crisis so is medical insecurity.
Nigeria is in a denial medical crisis .
WHO recommends 1:600 doctor-patient ratio; Nigeria is closer to 1:5,000 the government acts as though there is a surplus.

The young doctors don’t even listen to our begging again to even stay a little while in Nigeria. Their bags are already on their way to the airport

The few ones we managed to beg to do residency are only staying to get enough money to do the foreign exams
So President Tinubu I don’t know who is advising you oo ,
Listen to NMA and revive the medical system.
Yes it will cost you an arm and a leg and your heart but Nigeria health system once reviewed can serve Africa because Nigerian doctors all over the world are amongst the best,

The internal sabotage that Dangote is experiencing with the Refinery is not the real problem, rather, it’s the symptom of a larger problem that is ingrained in the fabric of our society.

When Investors go to rural communities to invest their money in ventures that would overtime improve the economy and overall well-being of a community, land-grabbers, jobless youths and so called traditional rulers will frustrate their efforts for personal gains. It doesn’t matter who you know, if you don’t ‘settle’ them, you will lose.

When NGOs take potentially life changing opportunities to rural communities, Omo Onile and other useless people will insist -often with threats of violence- that nothing will be done except the organizers pay them first. That payment is for nothing order than a reward for them constituting nuisance.

When Govt awards contracts for roads or other projects, contractors must first pay monetary homage to the local ‘Cesars’ before they’ll be allowed to work without fear.

You want to share food items and other critical supplies to the underprivileged and needy in our communities? You must first share a quota to the ‘leaders’ of the slum (who aren’t poor btw) before you have free, undisturbed access to the needy.

At the individual level, overwhelming majority of us are incredibly self-centered, self-serving, and selfish in a very destructive way. We would prioritise our own interests over those of the community as a whole and the Nation at large.

The aggregate sum of this toxic individualism is what has made the Government (past and present) a macro-reflection of us.

This here is the biggest issue in the bigger picture. It is also why we haven’t achieved anything.
