Another great (my 9th) @WigtownBookFest made more wonderful being in a group of 10 fab females. Highlights were @lindseyhilsum (& @alittl )& @RussInCheshire, Readinglasses & CafeRendevous. Lowlight was talk on children's books - which reminded us that classism is alive & kicking.

@LifeAfloat So many helpful replies already but I wanted to add 1 more: Thank you, on behalf of your loved ones & wider community here who followed your amazing feats. There are, unfortunately, too many who find themselves in your situation and are unable to ask for help. You've got this.
@GregHorton64 When I sat my French and German Highers, I had both speaking exams within a few days of each other. Being in the same room, with the same teacher asking similar questions (in different languages), did very little for my nerves. Glad to hear of your awareness and compassion.
Fascinating article in @thetimes about the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
If you are working on curriculum anywhere in the world you need to understand what’s not worked in Scotland.

People are so kind. At The Foam Centre, Glasgow for new boat cushions because the under-the-knee seat bit isn't comfy to lie on. "I can just cut the bump off - the cushions are fine".
"How much?"
"For that? Nothing!"
Back on Sat to pick up with a big box of homemade brownies!
So you bought your child a phone this Christmas. Remind them it isn't a secret diary, it's a small computer. Remind them that you're there to help them use it safely. Remind them they won't be able to keep it in their rooms at night. Monitor their digital diet. Stay vigilant: https://t.co/xLiJkutVKo
Fascinating, energising talk on oceans, "Blue Machine" by Helen Czerski. Now jam-packed main venue for Fergal Keane on The Madness. Powerful, self-deprecating on addictions to alcohol & danger. Brilliant. @WigtownBookFest
@GlasgowCC I'd hate to see some of the potholes that are worthy of 'action'.
Granted, it now has some cones around it, but I reckon that's only because the entire Duke of Wellington statue is hidden down there!

Please share.
Amy is a keen hiker and often goes wild camping. She has also joined protests by groups such as @JustStop_Oil
Someone must have seen her over the past month.
SOMETHING FISHY WITH MIGRANTS DINGHIES
Something truly does not add up with the Government narrative about migrant crossings.
What follows is just a theory, but if proven true, it could bring down everybody involved.
Make your own conclusions.
