What an absolute honour it was to talk to everyone today! I am truly inspired by all of the survivors! Thank you for everything you do🧡
#SendSomeLove#HETAmbassadors
Today we held our annual survivor outreach day. While normally we would meet in person, this year we met on Zoom to celebrate their achievements of the last 12 months. Two of our amazing Ambassadors spoke to them, letting them know how important they and their testimonies are.
Sociology and Social Research MA: Completed✅
Over 10 months of hard work, and a very expensive amount of coffee, has finally come to an end! Time to move onto the next chapter☺️
The media and political class is complicit in the far right, racist and Islamophobic violence we’re seeing across our country.
This morning, I experienced the visceral denial of this reality.

Almost 12 months ago, I graduated from @NorthumbriaUni, and today I came back to start as a PhD student! Someone tell 18 yr old Abigail that missing her university offer wasn't the end of the world!
Last month I was privileged enough to take part in the March of the Living @MOTL_UK_, on behalf of @HolocaustUK,
Much appreciated if you could take a moment to read about my experience below!

On the final day of @MOTL_UK_, we marched from Auschwitz I to Birkenau. Over 6,000 people walked side by side with Holocaust survivors, and what an honour it was!
The lessons I have learnt from this trip will stay with me forever. A truly incredible experience.
@HolocaustUK
Today, on day 4 of @MOTL_UK_, we visited Auschwitz-Birkenau. A tough day, but an important one in our journey.
It stands as a reminder of the lowest of humanity - what can happen when hate festers. The stories we will never forget.
@HolocaustUK
On day 3 of @MOTL_UK_ we visited the Jewish district of Krakow Old Town. We saw the Old Synagogue, the Tempel Synagogue - two distinctly different, and fascinating, places to learn about Jewish life in the city!
@HolocaustUK
But we also visited Łańcut Synagogue which was set on fire by the Nazis. However, Count Potocki saved it from total destruction.
We sang, and we danced, and most importantly, we brought life to the synagogue!
Day 2 of @MOTL_UK_ was an incredibly emotional one. We started at Majdanek, where thousands lost their lives. And we later visited the forest at Zbylitowska Góra, where we paid our respects at the mass grave of 800 children
@HolocaustUK
I am honoured to be representing @HolocaustUK at March of The Living this year! Today we learnt about Jewish life in Warsaw, connections to Jewish identity, and we had the privilege of hearing from @AriBermanYU! An incredible day!

We now invite you to join people across the UK to #LightTheDarkness. Light a candle and place it safely in your window to:
