Congratulations Bailey!
Bray Wanderers are delighted to announce that Bailey Shelley has signed a professional contract with the club.
Having progressed through the club’s Academy in 2024, Bailey has continued to impress with his performances in green and white, earning his opportunity at First Team level during our Leinster Senior Cup-winning campaign.
The defender, who played his schoolboy football with partner club St. Joseph's AFC, has taken another step in his development with the Seagulls, and we look forward to seeing his journey continue at the Carlisle Grounds!

LOI academies start at U14, so why are clubs playing U11 friendlies? It’s undermining schoolboy clubs and creating an unofficial academy system years too early. Either enforce the U14 rule or roll out a full academy structure from the younger age groups!
He ran to Bayern to get his lil league title count up but whenever it’s a real back against the wall moment he’s nowhere to be seen. Champions League final. 2020 Euros final. Penalty against France in 22. 2024 Euros final. Today. Chump. Keep running from the grind.
A great weekend in London with the U10s. Qualifying from a group featuring Liverpool, Chelsea, Brentford, QPR, KV Mechelen and others was fantastic for the lads. Great learning for them both individually and as a team! 🖤🤍
@RobbieWhelan7@markmccadden Armenia at home too. I was at the game and the 1st half was so so flat. He came out second half and smashed into their GK on a corner which lifted the crowd and got us going. Legend ☘️
@The_Forty_Four No. Archie Gray takes a touch on the edge of his own box when he hasn’t scanned once. That pass is so common nowadays to bait pressure. The difference is, the best don’t need to take unnecessary touches.
