A child who had to appease an abusive caregiver might grow into an adult who frantically manipulates situations to feel secure – not because they are innately bad, but because they are terrified. This is not a personality disorder.
Remember that if you have mental health problems and/or complex trauma, it’s quite likely you have a propensity to think everyone hates you but they pretty much definitely don’t.
