Tamil Nadu Government introduces presence less Registration for first time Registration of plots or flats.
No need to visit the Sub Registrar office.
Will be a big blow against corruption if it works.
Also am told that gradually more services will be brought online.
Well done @CMOTamilnadu .
Thinking of rooftop solar in Tamil Nadu?
#TVK govt. has announced a Rooftop Solar Subsidy Scheme for 2026–27, along with the Centre’s PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the budget. Details below👇
Central subsidy:
🔸Rs.30,000 for 1 kW,
🔸Rs.60,000 for 2 kW
🔸Rs.78,000 for 3 kW+
State subsidy:
🔸TN gives additional support of upto ₹1 lakh for domestic rooftop solar.
Capacity house may need:
🔸Up to 150 units/month → 1 kW
🔸Around 300 units/month → 2–3 kW
🔸Above 300 units/month → 3 kW+
A 3 kW system can generate roughly 360–400 units/month, depending on sunlight and other conditions.
Cost:
Installers quote around Rs.55,000–Rs.85,000 per kW before subsidy.
After subsidy, estimates spending at roughly:
🔸1 kW → Rs.30,000–Rs.40,000
🔸2 kW → Rs.60,000–Rs.80,000
🔸3 kW → Rs.65,000–Rs.1.20 lakh
🔸Payback period for your investment: 3-6 years
🔸25-year warranty/performance life.
Apartments can benefit too.
Solar can power lifts, pumps, common lighting, EV charging etc. Group/net-metering can also allow a common rooftop system to benefit participating flats.
But there is an important lesson from #Kerala.
🔸Solar generation peaks during the day, while households again depend on the grid at night. 🔸Without enough battery storage, utilities may have excess cheap power during the day but still need costly electricity during evening peak hours.
🔸So Tamil Nadu’s rooftop-solar push should not stop with panels.
🔸Solar + Net Metering + Battery Storage + stronger grid infrastructure will be crucial.
For households, rooftop solar can be a good long-term investment. For Tamil Nadu, the bigger challenge will be managing and storing surplus daytime solar power.

If we break our life into chapters, we realise that “retirement” is not a short phase.
It’s not epilogue; a short chapter after the story has already been told.
My latest.
UPSC Aspirants
Geography
Some housing board projects remained ghost developments for years, with no takers. Worse, in Ennore, land in an industrial zone was converted for residential use to build them. Hundreds of crores were wasted. Mindless construction seemed to have become an ideology by itself in Tamil Nadu, and we had no answers or accountability on such waste of money. 👇🏽
🚨 Best Mock Test for Banking Exams? Here's My Honest Ranking After Using 4 Platforms. 👇
One of the biggest mistakes banking aspirants make is being stingy while buying mock tests.
📌 Your selection doesn't depend only on how much you've studied or which teacher you've followed. It depends on how you've practiced through mock tests.
I've personally used these 4 mock test platforms:
✅ Guidely
✅ Testbook
✅ PracticeMock
✅ Oliveboard
Here's my honest review:
1️⃣ Testbook
- Slightly easier than other platforms.
- Best for Prelims.
- English is very close to the actual exam.
- Reasoning & Quant are mostly exam-level (sometimes easier).
- Overall, it's a must-buy for every banking aspirant.
- Good for Mains too, but pair it with another platform.
2️⃣ Guidely ⭐ (My Personal Favourite)
- Affordable.
- Moderate difficulty.
- Reasoning & English are very close to the actual exam.
- Quant is slightly above exam level, which also prepares you for Mains.
- Highly relevant questions.
3️⃣ PracticeMock
- Excellent overall.
- Quant feels closest to the real exam.
- Only drawback: English lacks a little variety.
4️⃣ Oliveboard
- Good quality mocks.
- Slightly expensive.
- Better when combined with another mock platform.
❌ Don't rely on just one mock test series.
Using only one platform limits your exposure to different question patterns. In the real exam, even a slight twist can make you panic. Always keep at least two mock test platforms for better question variety.
✅ My Recommended Combinations
🥇 Testbook + Guidely
🥈 Guidely/ PracticeMock+ testbook/
🥉 Guidely + Oliveboard
Final Advice:
The more mocks you attempt, the closer you get to selection.
✔️ Improve Speed
✔️ Increase Accuracy
✔️ Build Confidence
✔️ Eliminate Exam Fear
✔️ Master Time Management
The farther you stay from mock tests, the farther you stay from selection.
