@IHNITmusic (hate twitters limit hahahaha)
anyway i can really suggest you trying to set up anything like haas in mono, gives you a much easier time finding a good setting.
@IHNITmusic Though the „Throwing everything at the Wall“ mindset can give you just as nice results, just tends to sound more EDM'ish. Literally all of my released songs were produced like that so you can decide yourself if you like it or not! :)
@erice_music Yeah, MSpread is great. Wouldn’t really agree on it sounding natural, it does sound like a spreader overall. Though it definitely has its place to be. I like to use it at really low settings to give some slight slight width to lead vocals.
@IHNITmusic it really comes down to using it the right way on the right sounds, obviously if you just slap it on anything hoping to get an epic super wide sound you are probably going to run into issues.
@IHNITmusic i mainly use it on mono signals that i want to sound like they’re double recorded. (mainly on foley - percussion or even if i get a single backing vocal track). and i do like the flamming you get on higher settings.
@skybreakedm just do what sounds good to you, listen to your ears and intuition rather than listening to a number on your screen. if -3lufs sounds good to you, go for it. if -12lufs sounds good to you, go for it. trying to compete with another songs loudness can really ruin a good mix.
@skybreakedm ngl my mixes sound so much better since i stopped smashing them. at this point i master to like -8 max. who yall trying to compete with anyway. good music will be recognized even without smashing it to tearout loudness.
