Fernwood Bakery on Maple Street in Galveston, Texas. Every morning at 8:10, the same thing happens. The door is propped open for deliveries. A tan mixed-breed with a gray muzzle walks in. Ignores the bread. Ignores the customers. Goes directly to the owner, Rosa, 67, who lost her husband of 41 years last spring. La Alcaldía del Distrito Central retiró 75 toneladas de desechos sólidos durante un operativo de limpieza ejecutado en el sector del campo Motagua y los bajos del puente Carías, en las inmediaciones de los mercados de Comayagüela, como parte de las acciones para recuperar espacios públicos, eliminar focos de contaminación y reducir riesgos para la salud y el ambiente.

Durante la jornada, las cuadrillas de la Gerencia de Aseo Municipal recolectaron basura, desechos voluminosos, residuos vegetales y otros materiales acumulados en la zona, permitiendo intervenir un espacio que por años ha sido utilizado para la disposición inadecuada de residuos.

El gerente de Aseo Municipal, Edwin Gómez, afirmó: “Retirar 75 toneladas de basura de un solo sector refleja la magnitud del problema que generan quienes continúan utilizando estos espacios como botaderos clandestinos. Mantener limpios estos lugares depende del esfuerzo conjunto entre la municipalidad y cada ciudadano”.

Están ahora todos muy alborotados con la abolición de las elecciones en la dictadura asesina de Ortega en Nicaragua.
Pues hace solo tres meses la ONU eligió a Nicaragua como miembro de su Comité de ONG, que supervisa el trabajo de los grupos de derechos humanos en la ONU. Con Nicaragua eligieron a China, Cuba, Nicaragua, Arabia Saudita y Sudán para esa vigilancia de los derechos humanos.
España apoyó, como Francia y Alemania, este disparate.
La ONU es un pozo séptico. Cuanto antes desaparezca mejor.
