i think this is a kinda unfair oversimplification. a lot of us forget the irl logistics of schools - most schools in america with the least amount of funding are in poorer districts and poorer districts in most states tend to have higher populations of non white, ethnic minorities.

unfortunately, if you make the decision to put your child in a school with better funding and therefore (usually) better academic outcomes, you’re also likely increasing their chance of being surrounded by white students.

it’s a tough decision more and more parents black parents face, i don’t think they’re just putting their kids in “white schools” for fun
