More than ₹12 crore is being paid as commission to placement agencies #VTPs while Vocational Trainers remain unpaid for five months.

Vocational Teachers have been without salaries for 5 months, while #VTPs claimed they had no funds to pay us on time.

Now that Samagra Shiksha has received the funds, Vocational Trainers’ salaries will still be routed through #VTPs, with more than ₹12 crore as commission before reaching us.

Meanwhile, Vocational Trainers and their families are suffering. Those working in hard and far-flung zones struggle to pay rent, while many do not even have money for daily travel/fare to reach their schools. Yet they continue to perform their duties despite receiving no salary for five months.

Other contractual employees of #SamagraShiksha are receiving their salaries directly. Why are Vocational Teachers treated differently?

A company that failed to pay salaries on time should not be rewarded with crores for simply passing on the salary after a five-month delay.

If direct payment is possible, why not pay Vocational Teachers directly and save crores of public money?

This is not merely a salary issue. It is the exploitation of vocational trainers and their families, funded by public money.

Why pay crores to an intermediary when the government can pay Vocational Trainers directly? @OmarAbdullah @CM_JnK @sakinaitoo @JKSamagra @SchoolEdujkut
