In Japan, an excellent visit to the fabled University of Tokyo on Monday. After meetings with the University’s President, Vice President and senior faculty, watched a self-contained excerpt from the remarkable film “The Making of Japanese” (last pic with British-Japanese film-maker Ema Mayazaki) which depicts how the public educational system socialises Japanese children into habits of co-operation and team effort. Fascinating!

Finally back in Delhi yesterday from an arduous but amazing tour of Jammu, Srinagar, Kargil. Leh and places in-between! It is truly a marvel to witness the meteoric rise of young Sooryavanshi. Watching this 15-year-old phenom at the crease is a masterclass in the evolution of the game.
The sheer bat speed he generates, coupled with an almost supernatural sense of timing and raw power, is nothing short of breathtaking. He isn't just playing cricket; he is fundamentally redefining the art of batting for a new generation.
Whenever he takes strike, the world outside simply ceases to exist: I find myself dropping everything just to catch every delivery. We are watching a rare, generational talent unfold before our eyes. Truly exhilarating!

#WATCH | Delhi | On Russian President Vladimir Putin’s India visit, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "It's hugely significant. It is a crucial relationship, and has been for a long time. In today's rather turbulent world, where so many relationships have become uncertain, it becomes important to shore up the ones we have. No one should misunderstand that this will affect our relationships with other countries, because India has the capacity to have independent relationships with different governments. We are a nation that has always believed in sovereign autonomy. Our autonomy to decide our friendships, our partnerships and our national interests is encoded in our DNA. The value of Russian friendship has been proven in recent years, particularly in two domains. We've had a lot of oil and gas from Russia in recent years, and the value of defence imports from Russia was demonstrated once again during Operation Sindoor when the S-400 protected us from a number of Pakistani missiles that were targeting our cities, including Delhi... If agreements come through during this meeting, that's part of strengthening a vital relationship, which in my mind, does not come at the expense of relations with America or China..."

Had a good conversation with @CeoMdbrahmos Jaiteerth Joshi about the concerns of the @BrahMosMissile unions and staff in Thiruvananthapuram. He not only assured me that production would expand, not contract, in my constituency, but that he would travel to Tvm soon to meet the staff and address their concerns. Good news!
