As we continue our #ExploreUArizona tour, RII leadership and staff visited the African American Museum of So. AZ. Executive Director Beverely Elliott and her husband Bob shared the rich history of African American and Black life, culture & history in our area. The formation of the museum was a passion project for the Elliotts, stemming from a request from their young grandson to have a place where he could “learn about African American people who lived around here.” Located on the @uarizona campus and open to the public, this is a gem in our community.
