Caste-based discrimination and mental health issues disproportionately affect students. what changes should the Joint Parliamentary Committee on VBSA suggest to the government?

I write in Economic Times Education:
VBSA Bill 2025 aims to make India a global education destination and meet international standards. But—will such higher education development be inclusive for students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds?

On Ambedkar Jayanti, I'm happy to announce the Beena Sondhi Scholarship for an LLM in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice @SOAS Instituted in memory of my late mother who passed away in 1986 , it covers the entire tuition fee and is open for 2025-26
Today in The Indian Express, I argued that the political branches (legislature and executive) must foster—(what I term as) ‘postadmission inclusion’—for transgender students by making school curricula inclusive.

Excited and privileged to hear Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Mr Justice U.U. Lalit as he speaks tomorrow on "Legacies and Lessons from Justice Ahmadi's Era."
The “Fearless Judge” relays tales from Justice Ahmadi’s time—periods of upheaval, pressure, and constitutional challenge. Tomorrow, Justice Lalit will bring those times alive. Looking forward to his sharp insights on the the bold judgments, dissenting voices, pressures from all sides, and the trajectory the judiciary took that shapes where we are now.
Jindal folks, please join us.

Today is Late Dr Shamnad Bhasheer's 49th birth anniversary. I will share the reason why my research report on inclusion in legal education has an afterword, but not a foreword (link below).
Though I did have few months to ask someone else, I decided that I would publish the report without a foreword. I felt: the loss of the visionary, Dr Basheer, was well-depicted by the research report deprived of a foreword, just as our society was deprived of Dr Basheer.
Happy to have been cited in the Supreme Court judgment on S 6A of the Citizenship Act. More importantly, glad that Chandrachud J accepts that "there is no general principle that the constitutional validity of under-inclusive provisions must be assessed with judicial deference".
I paid the driver twice the amount that was due to him just to throw the money on his face and told him that I would prefer falling down than taking his help. He said why are you offended I was not even talking to you.I said exactly the point. You were treating me like a suitcase
What is arbitrary power? My answer centres on the caricature of the tyrant, which I argue predisposes us to label disliked non-Western 'others' as arbitrary. I hope to help avoid ethnocentricism in identifying arbitrary power. Open access on Law&Phil: https://t.co/IGo4TZTmHa
No sir, they do not. Just because there are a few bad apples in the system does not mean that genuine persons with disabilities do not require a leg up in an ableist world. I would have expected a senior government official like you to comment with more responsibility.
A bit of unabashed cross-posting. Gratified to see my book in print after years of work. My thanks to my editor @karthik_venk
The link to pre-order online is in the comments, but if, like me, you’re more an indie store person, the book should be at bookstores by 25 July
