🚨 RAVI ASHWIN PRAISES SHUBMAN GILL’S CAPTAINCY 🚨
R Ashwin Said, 🗣️
“I am really, really impressed with Shubman Gill’s captaincy, not just in this game, but throughout his journey as a captain. I think his leadership is starting to stand out now. I get the feeling that he is learning a lot from the senior players around him, from coaches, analysts and experienced cricketing minds. What impressed me most was how he used his bowlers. He gave Kuldeep Yadav an opportunity because he knew Kuldeep needed confidence. He started with Manav Suthar and later came back to Washington Sundar and Kuldeep at the right moments because he understood what those bowlers needed. In many ways, he helped them get into the game and take those wickets. The way he rotates his bowlers, reads situations and gives instructions during the game is very impressive. In all honesty, Shubman Gill deserves a lot of appreciation for his captaincy.”
Not the ending they wanted, but a season to be proud of 💙🏏
Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill received the runners-up trophy after falling short in the IPL 2026 final. A campaign filled with consistency, leadership and big moments ends one step away from the title.
The trophy slips away this time, but the journey leaves plenty to build on. 👏✨

This squad is special, and their work ethic, their determination is on point. One result doesn’t change that.
We will come back stronger next year, Gujarat. Thank you for your love and constant support. Every member of the team cherishes it. #AavaDe
GT have been one of the most consistent teams throughout the tournament 👏 @ShubmanGill’s captaincy was impressive and the entire team’s effort including Sai Sudarshan’s run-scoring was a joy to watch. Well played boys 🙌
