@cmkosemen An idea stays an idea without the skilled labor required to bring it to life. Ironically, without the work of the art and fx teams, heโd never have the chance to say something so fecklessly braindead.
May this permanently stain his record.
@TRC1305@beyoncegarden Being recorded by a security camera is different than an unknown person recording you. Pretty normal to not want to be recorded without consent, and most if not all of the places you listed are required to post public notice that there are security cameras present.
@beyoncegarden How can somebody claim to be a 1A auditor when they canโt cite why filming in public is protected under the 1A? Dude has watched too many YouTube videos without doing any of the work.
@GmeHands@Libs_OfChicago@SenatorHick But was it better when people could be denied coverage due to โpre-existing conditionsโ ? Which freedom is better? Freedom of the market or freedom to receive live saving and essential care when you need it?
@Grindz_TV Are there fewer positive Black tv shows or is this woman no longer consuming media through the filter of her parents? Abbott Elementary is the first one that comes to mind, but thereโs more.
@CleverMonsterCT If LTV claims that profit is derived from unpaid labor, who would be a more defining example of unpaid labor than chattel slaves. If anything, it applies AND requires us to go beyond the purely economic aspect as chattel slavery created a distinct economic class based on race.
@JBP_Virginia@RockChartrand@SenatorHick Iโm not really sure what point youโre trying to make. It was a combo of publicly funded orgs that stopped the fires (neighboring FDs and CA National Guard). Rich people did hire private FD to solely protect their properties though.
@GmeHands@Libs_OfChicago@SenatorHick Right, but it can prevent you from being denied care a la the ACAโs protections for pre existing condition. You can be denied something by it becoming cost prohibitive - look at the people rationing insulin due to rising costs.
@CleverMonsterCT Maybe personal ignorance, but Iโm also not familiar with claims that Marxism is a universal theory of revolution. I always understood it to be a means of economic revolution that better positions workers to benefit from the fruits of their labor.
@CleverMonsterCT Idk if uniting workers is counterproductive; certainly not the end all be all to achieve meaningful or lasting equality. Itโs one component, and Marx was writing from his experience during Germanyโs industrialization and how it changed the concept of labor and economic class.
@drdanchoi Hickenlooper has been in support of a M4A/single payer system for a while now; โhealthcare is a rightโ is short hand for that. Donโt be dumb. Heโs not saying youโre going to be chained up and forced to provide medical treatment. I know you can read if youโre an MD, donโt be dumb.
@Libs_OfChicago@SenatorHick The 2A guarantees the government canโt prevent you from owning firearms. This is not the same thing as mandating a single payer healthcare system that guarantees coverage for all. Donโt play word games if youโre not going to pay attention to the words.
@JBP_Virginia@RockChartrand@SenatorHick Fire does this funny thing where it spreads regardless of your beliefs or bank balance. I donโt want to risk my place burning down simply because my neighbor doesnโt want to pay the private fire protection company and vice versa. Publicly funded fire dpts save lives.
Wild to see so many comments discussing this as if itโs a call to enslave doctors and nurses and not a call to publicly fund the healthcare system a la fire departments, police departments, etc.
@briannalyman2 Are you purposely being dumb or are you just dumb? The argument of healthcare as a right has never been about compelling doctors to do anything but about ensuring people can afford healthcare and are not denied coverage at the whim of for-profit insurance companies.
