Every child deserves to feel safe, especially in the institutions entrusted with their education and protection.
For The Future (FTF) stands in solidarity with the students of Obuasi SHTS and calls for justice, accountability and stronger child protection in all Ghanaian schools.
All we are saying is that our girls and children must be protected. Full stop!
No child should fear abuse in a place meant to educate and nurture them.
We demand justice for victims of abuse, accountability for wrongdoing, and safer schools for every child.

These things are really disheartening, and they point to a very serious problem in our society.
Just last Friday, during the Q&A session at one of the schools where we are holding our @FTFGhana mentorship sessions, a girl asked us what she should do if a man sexually harasses her and threatens to harm her if she tells anyone.
Imagine a young girl having to worry about something like this. It is heartbreaking.
We really need to do more to protect our children, create safe spaces for them to speak up, and ensure they can get the help they need without fear.
These things are getting out of hand, and we cannot continue to look away.
Ten years ago, we were just a group of teenagers, still in high school, with a desire to help children and young people overcome the circumstances standing in the way of their dreams. We didn’t have much, but we believed we could make a difference.
Today, by the grace of God, that little vision has grown into a movement that has impacted over 10,000 lives across Ghana and Nigeria, and the journey continues.
My team at @FTFGhana and I have produced a documentary film titled “Born Into Circumstance”, telling the story of our journey over the past decade, the challenges, the people who have carried this vision, and most importantly, the lives we have been privileged to touch.
And now, we would love for you to come and experience this story with us! ☺️

Kezia was practically begging people to donate to her NGO, which supports people she believes deserve a chance at life. She did not flaunt wealth, insult anyone, or engage in any suspicious activity that could cast doubt on her work, yet she was vilified.
Nyame pɛ!!
