Celebrated my 30+ (stopped counting at 30th) birthday in-flight while en route to Saigon and treated myself a bowl of Bà Nâm (by the street) the moment we arrived. Thankful and grateful for this life and all the blessings! Let the two-week birthday trip to Vietnam begin. 🇻🇳
I guess that almost 2 months break was just necessary. I got to re-think, analyze things and re-align my priorities in life and in general. Felt more energized to do this. Off to clinic today then will accomplish some requirements for my hospital affiliations. Let’s do this!

I then explained the pros and cons to the parents and eventually consented for intubation. The patient got better. I sometimes re-think my recent choices in life (of me leaving), then I remember my purpose and the reason why I don’t want to totally quit this job.
Intubated a case of a 7-year-old Pneumonia Severe with Cerebral Palsy patient with a 3 weeks history of cough whom parents initially refused for intubation. Received at the PICU gasping and desaturated at 50-70% on high flow. The patient was almost dying.
