If we listen first we will find ourselves becoming less angry and more compassionate, less defensive and more empathetic. The quickest route to restoring a relationship where one person is hurting is not to try and be the first to be understood but to be the first to understand
Spending time thinking through what we say and how we say it is extremely important. It's how you ensure your communicating what's in your heart. It is even more important to listen and seek to understand others hurt, feelings, and perspective first.
Race, justice, and biblical discipleship: Opening our eyes to racial injustice, grieving over it, and working against it is not divisive; it’s discipleship. The more we become like Jesus, the more we live to do justice (Micah 6:8).
It is time for change.
Children should not have to feel this way.
Our friends should not have to feel this way.
Our neighbors should not have to feel this way.
No one should have to feel this way.
Be the difference you want to see in the world.
If you thought grocery shopping while you're hungry was a bad idea... Try grocery shopping while hungry the same time the entire country is in fear of a food shortage because of a beer virus. #coronapocolypse#CoronavirusPandemic
You never really think about the importance of grocery shopping for foods that promote a healthy digestive system until you don't have the toilet paper to support a bad decision. #coronapocolypse#toiletpaper
Our anxiety does not come from thinking about the future, but rather from wanting to control it.
Anxiety doesn’t remove tomorrow’s suffering, it only removes today’s strength.
Rest in who JESUS IS and give all fears and anxieties to him.
