@Uorangemen2 Next few years it will be hard. The 5 for 5 rule really hurt 2027, 2028 & 2029 classes by giving college kids another year. A local kid for example, Parker Friedrichsen, w/o this rule he would be a Sr….now he has 2 more yrs. That is a roster spot that would’ve gone to a 2027.

@rayfordyoung Great point…for the most part I agree…college coaches rarely attend HS games.

I remember Union vs Bixby game a few years ago with Trent Pierce vs Parker Friedrichsen. Purdue, Nebraska, OU, OSU, TU and Mizzu all in the stands. So for the right matchup they might.

Transfer portal has killed Oklahoma HS basketball. These super teams just beat the hell out of everyone…games not worth watching.

Not to mention, college coaches would rather see top players compete against each other. Not team up and kill bad team. They won’t come watch it!
