Zohran didn't win by relying on standard turnout patterns. We had to fundamentally transform the Democratic electorate.
I was part of a group of NYC-DSA members that applied lessons from our previous campaigns to design the “universe” of voters to talk to. Here's how we won 🧵
Trans voter to @AOC: Trans people in America feel like they've been abandoned by the Democratic Party, that we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that?
AOC:
with 12 days until the midterm elections, the entire republican party has coalesced around attacking a woman for having been raped by her stepfather when she was twelve
it's crazy how Curtis Sliwa is just thought of as a quirky uncle or a defender of local communities now. I just read about how in the Goetz trial he and the Guardian Angels were allowed to do a re-enactment for the jury that pretended the shooting victims were actually robbers.
layla law-gisiko is now claiming she just "found herself standing on the same sidewalk as vickie paladino" at a press conference. a photo from that event shows layla smiling and embracing vickie.
i don't want to mince words: this is conservative entryism into dsa.
At B&R’s 2026 convention, we voted to join the draft for and support an AOC presidential campaign. We believe her campaign has the potential to build the labor movement, the student movement, and DSA.
kinda crazy to think that the 7:00 PM poll closing states alone will likely tell us enough abt the environment that the 8:00 PM clsosures will hit like a nuclear bomb
To put this in simpler terms: AIPAC is now such a political liability for candidates that it is ending its direct campaign contributions, but doubling down on dark money and other fundraising more difficult to tie back to it.
Mamdani just deployed every red light camera he’s permitted. But that’s only 600 in a city with 13,000+ signalized intersections. We deserve to be safe from red light running every time we cross the street. When Albany gets back to work, let’s turn 600 into 6000.
Last night we rallied outside the Schneps Media Queens Powerlist event to let attendees how unfairly management has been treating their employees. We continue to ask Josh and Vicki Schneps to drop their bogus challenges to our colleagues’ union eligibility! #SchnepsUnion
This morning, I was proud to stand with @NYC_DOT in Astoria to announce the expansion of the Red Light Camera Program to cover 600 intersections across our city.
These cameras are an essential tool to change how drivers behave and to prevent red light running and fatal crashes.
If you’re in NYC-DSA, you should’ve gotten a ballot to vote for reps to next month’s convention.
I’m running on a slate to keep winning big elections and fighting for socialist policy. This list includes lots of people I admire and no weird NIMBYs. DM me if you have questions
