1. I like Michael Shermer
2. This is a classic example of, “If I don’t see a reason, there simply can’t be one.”
The Bible doesn’t flinch on the nature and reality of evil. It also speaks of the human mind’s inability to grasp all of reality. And in the narrative, we encounter a God who is very concerned with evil and will ultimately destroy it.
HOPE winds up being more intellectually satisfying to me than asserting that I can fully understand all matters, that there is nothing too great for me.
Best rendering of Christian hope of resurrection I've ever heard. You don't get to bypass death or all that it entails. You have to build your coffin & lay yourself down in the arms of Jesus. Then, and only then, do you get to wake up pleasantly surprised.
“That was the summer I gave my life to Christ. I know baseball’s going to be here and gone, and it might be gone sooner than later. If I wanted something stable in my life, it had to be something other than baseball.”

Finishing up Quarterback on Netflix, and I just got to the scene after the playoff loss where Kirk Cousins reads to his son, tucks him into bed, and sings "On Christ The Solid Rock I Stand."
One of the best moments of the show imo.

“True greatness is found in none other than Jesus Christ. That is what makes us truly great, and so we can step into the world as we are with boldness... I don’t need to measure myself by worldly standards.”

I think we’ve heard enough bashing of the church. It’s time to brag on the church. I couldn’t imagine going through what we’ve been going through without a community of believers around us.
I thank God for His church.
Dad sees a car in a restaurant parking lot that looks like his old one, which he had to sell to support the family. He gets emotional, sharing stories, and then the daughter surprises him by handing him the keys. ❤️🚗
Finally “caught” my 1st Funko Field foul ball (caromed off the back row), with my free hand and didn’t drop the mic 😂. Handed the ball to a kid, also got a ball for his brother. Both came up to me post game, excited to show that @ColeYoung23 signed the balls. Love this job!
