How does a plumber justify charging 14x the hourly minimum wage? Because when you’ve got a burst pipe at 10pm you think that’s good value. You and I might not believe someone is worth $800k but if someone else does then that’s all that matters. People are free to pay people as much as they think they are worth.
@performit4@Mericamemed If “schedule” is supposed to be “shedule”, then why did nobody at school teach the scholar who came up with that scheme how to pronounce “sch” properly? 😂
@elonmusk@Tesla@TeslaAUNZ has the worst delivery of any car dealer. It is going to take them 60 days to deliver from Auckland to Christchurch. It would take an average human only 9 days to walk that and other carriers are only taking 3 days to deliver.
@ilyasut ChatGPT4 doesn’t buy the apology:
“Participation” is a vague term and may imply a lesser degree of involvement or responsibility.
Stating “never intended to harm” can be seen as deflecting from the actual impact of the actions. Overshadowing the harm caused, regardless of intent.
@jacindaardern@chrishipkins@grantrobertson1 I know that pregnant kiwis stuck in Afghanistan don’t meet MIQ requirements, but @CharlotteBellis is a very good tennis player, so, maybe she could join the other 1,647 sportspeople given exemptions?
I take issue with MIQ boss Chris Bunny's reply in @nzherald. He says I was invited to reapply within 14 days of travel. For the record - our rejection email states even if we apply within 14 days, we have no evidence that we need time-critical treatment.
THREAD: Today I wrote an op-ed in the @nzherald (https://t.co/KjR1tw3lBc). It details how @jimhuylebroek and I were rejected this week to return to my homeland NZ to give birth, because of covid restrictions. We are in Afghanistan.
