A friend of mine attends the parish where Charlie was attending daily and Sunday Mass. The claim that Charlie was “just interested in the architecture” of the Catholic Church was the first red flag for me. People don’t commit to attending daily Mass because they’re admiring the architecture. They go to daily Mass or weekly Mass because they are Catholic, or truly considering becoming Catholic.

If Charlie was seriously exploring the Catholic faith, It would have caused a literal turning point in his life. Especially when it came to his very pro-Israel/Zionist funded organization where donors were already beginning pulling support from him and accusing him of being an antisemite. Charlie was criticizing Israel. Specifically regarding October 7th.

The question is what Charlie was starting to believe, say, and do around the time of his murder and who would be negatively impacted if he made the jump and left Zionism/dispensationalism altogether and actually became Catholic? We know by his own messages Charlie was leaving the pro- Israel cause and the torment they were putting him through because of it.

Charlie knew Catholics aren’t Zionists, and they sure don’t believe the state of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophesy. I believe he was curious about catholicism because he was having a theological turning point.

Becoming Catholic would have been the final turning point for Charlie. I believe he knew it, and so did the people around him.

It makes me respect Charlie that much more. He knew the risk he was taking by criticizing the Zionists funding him and working for him. Charlie decided to do it anyway. He was a man of principle, and morals, not a slave like the men around him who worship money instead of Christ.

I believe Charlie died because he wasn’t willing to become a slave to evil men who worship money.

Let that sink in.
