@Erik_Seidel Respectfully disagree with this take unfortunately. The tax revenue portion is a correct assumption by you. But the economic fallout won’t have much effect. Taking regs/winners out of the ecosystem won’t have much impact on businesses. These players are an extremely small %
@jschwellnus92@berkey11 Right. My point is @berkey11 was saying this could be a game changer and questioning investing at a discount. I’m just saying it’s a very small market and don’t think would ever take hold. Also a lot of people are backed which makes this even harder of a deal to strike
@berkey11 Just not a big market out there for investors. Very few people to buy from. And very few that when they finally realize a run will actually sell a %
So we legalized sports betting… fine.
But this type of advertising needs to be illegal. 15 year old boys are watching this content and it’s messing them up. For the same reason we don’t allow cigarette ads that glamorize smoking, we shouldn’t allow this.
@kwansfull When you say a million dollar year you’re talking buyins I’m assuming right (20-30% roi on 1m is 200-300k). This alone would probably be fine except for one thing - losses can’t be carried forward. This will make playing mtts alone extremely tough
Trump’s hypocrisy has a pattern. When he first ran for office, he called the government’s unemployment numbers fake. After winning, he bragged about the very same numbers to sell his economic success. He slammed Janet Yellen for keeping interest rates low to prop up the Obama economy — now he wants to fire Powell for not doing the same to boost his own. Last time he ran, he vowed to expose Epstein’s client list and accused Democrats of covering it up. Now he claims the entire Epstein scandal is a Democrat hoax to distract from his “great” accomplishments.
