@kallmeishmale @hexcrawl I think the answer here is the player should describe what their character is doing and still let the DM decide when it’s time to call for a roll. But if the DM declares, “Roll Perception,” it’s perfectly fine for the player to say, “Can I use Investigation?”

@EndorianLife I remember treating each 3 minute episode as Must See TV back when these originally aired. I even taped each one on my VCR to make my own little home copy. Still think it’s great! Though the over-the-top action works better in 3 minute doses vs. watching all at once
