I'll never forget being at @NickNelsonMN's wedding, with a table full of Twins fans, watching this Mitch Garver homer live on @TwinsGeek's phone propped up against a beer glass.
Mitch Garver is one of the best late-bloomers in Twins history.
Didn't make his MLB debut until age 26. Had a monster 2019 season at 28 and another big year at 30.
Ended up playing 10 seasons in the majors and earning $35 million. Also just a good dude.

Mitch Garver has announced his retirement after 10 seasons spent across the Twins, Rangers and Mariners.
He won a Silver Slugger Award in 2019 with 31 HR and a .995 OPS. He also won a World Series championship with the Rangers in 2023.

On the idea teams like the Twins should try to "copy" the Brewers and Rays, why duplicating their success comes with big challenges, and the ever-shifting 'Moneyball.'

My view of the top dozen free-agent relievers — six right-handers and six left-handers — the Twins should go after if they're actually serious about fixing the bullpen: https://t.co/wIINS5obIG
"You Can See Everything" is amazing. Among the best, and weirdest, movie-going experiences I've ever had.
One of those movies where everyone stands out in the hallway after leaving the theater and talks about it.

Prime example of why @JaceFrederick is my pick for Minnesota's most underrated sports writer.
Does a great job blending reporting and analysis, and also comes up with creative ideas like this one to keep things fresh over the course of a long season.

Special guest Thad Levine joins us to talk about his eight years as #MNTwins general manager and take us behind the scenes of an MLB front office at the trade deadline.
This might be my favorite episode we've ever done. So fun.

We did a pair of podcasts totaling more than four hours discussing — randomized, Royal Rumble style — every single one of the 56(!?) players who appeared in a game for the Twins this season.

Some thoughts on the Twins' new pitching coach Brian Reith and a look at Brooks Lee's midseason move from shortstop to third base working remarkably well: https://t.co/lEYCcRRb5X
Twins have hired Brian Reith as their new pitching coach. He replaces Pete Maki, who was let go last month.
Reith, who pitched briefly in the majors for the Reds from 2001-2004, spent the past five seasons as the Triple-A pitching coach in the Rays' farm system.
Brooks Lee named a Gold Glove finalist at third base, which is remarkable considering he moved there in mid-May after struggling at shortstop.
Lee went from a weakness to a strength in the field, and from mid-May forward he was the Twins' best defender.
