250 years ago today, Benjamin Franklin was sworn in as president. In his stirring inaugural address, his voice powered by the electricity he had invented, he invited his fellow Americans to, “ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
He closed by inventing freedom and reminding us that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
I miss him so much.
