Shouldn't people at @Indiametdept be fired for issuing RED Alert late for Mumbai?
Do they not have the technology for accurate weather forecasts?
Many parts of Mumbai are water logged and the city has come to a stand still.
Ghatkopar Metro station right now. There's a chance of stampede as there's too much crowd. Avoid taking any mode of public transport right now. Today Mumbai is fucked up badly.

Sheer failure of Mumbai infrastructure!
No mode of commute available for public, no trains, no cabs- water logging everywhere! What the hell are we paying taxes for??
It's a nightmare for me and thousands of Mumbaikars! Trains have stopped at Central line. My battery is 7% . I am stuck with no lights now outside Mulund station. Badly stuck! #MumbaiRains
Building a habit demands months of discipline, yet a mere two-week break can make returning feel like a mountain. Its funny how quickly this happens with good habits and you lose your hard-earned progress while the bad ones stick effortlessly!
An old timer at my first job told me:
“Never take 2-week vacations. Everyone just saves work for your return. Make it 3 weeks or more so they just take care of things without you.”
Notice how all the street lights are working, how the roads are cleaned, how stray animals have been kept off, how security is in place everywhere, how medical, firefighting teams are on standby - so that “bahar ke mehmaan” can be impressed.
Civil services can be delivered but you and I don’t matter as much as foreigners whose validation is everything. May there be a G20 every year in every small town in India, at least ordinary people can get access to services for a few days and experience what their life could be like.
Currently engrossed in Shiva Trilogy 2 by Amish Tripathi for the past few weeks. Stumbled upon a profound insight - "The opposite of love isn't hate. Hate is just love gone bad. The actual opposite is apathy. It's when you don't care a damn as to what happens to the other person"
Did you know 'NoSQL' originally began as a San Francisco meetup group, not a database! Johan Oskarsson and Eric Evans united techies to chat about open-source databases and distributed systems. And eventually, it transformed into a term for non-relational databases. #TechTrivia
If you are privileged in a low per capita country, and you can afford to fund your kid’s education without worrying about a job. Encourage your kid to pursue research in STEM, in creating the next jet engine instead of researching to find the 17th gender.
You may say both are important to take civilisation ahead, but we can prioritise. Given the state of our nation. (Assuming kid’s consent)
Underprivileged people will of course prioritise a job oriented course. Which is fair. But privilege is a responsibility.
Most western scientists who made breakthroughs were very privileged, with super rich parents.
Battled a workout rut today, nearly gave up halfway. But I switched it up, found a new groove, and powered through to the end! Don't let monotony win, embrace change for that energy boost. 💪 #KeepPushing
Read an interesting writeup on Parle G on @finshots. We always knew about its pervasive reach in Indian households, the below fact still amazed me:
If Parle-G packets produced in a year are placed around the Earth’s circumference, they would circle the Earth 192 times.
