The cheapest, most effective wildfire crew in California has four legs and eats the problem.
Clearing flammable brush off a steep slope by hand is brutal, slow, expensive work. A herd of goats is none of those things.
Hand clearance:
- Around 28,000 dollars an acre
- People with tools on dangerous slopes
- Cuttings that then have to be hauled away
A herd of goats:
- Roughly 500 to 1,000 dollars an acre
- Climbs slopes no crew wants to touch
- Eats the brush to a firebreak and fertilises the ground on the way through
- Reaches branches several feet up
- Visibly thrilled to be at work
Calling the goat a quaint throwback has it backwards. On this job the goat is the superior technology by a factor of about fifty, and it runs on the very scrub everyone else is paying to remove.
Dear parents
Go to an ophthalmologist if your child's number is increasing very frequently.
DONT just go to the neighborhood spectacle shop. They will simply check the number and give your child new glasses.
Nope.
The correct way is to dilate the pupils (the pupils of the pupils hahahaha) and then get the number. The ophthalmologist will do this.
This will , to a large extent, unveil ACCOMODATIVE SPASM of the eye muscles ( due to continuous strain due to excessive screen use) .
Then the doctor will share ways to get rid of ACCOMODATIVE SPASM, excessive dryness of eyes and treat any allergic component.
It may well turn out that your child did NOT need the new, stronger glasses.
Ahem , the child may even be an 18 yr old.
VISIT THE CORRECT SPECIALIST DOCTOR for your ailments .
Another eg: for a child with heart concerns, go to a pediatric Cardiologist.
Japan suspended batches of Indian mangoes because of fruit flies. Because the Indian fruit flies are non-native to Japan. If fruit flies are eating a fruit, then the fruit is actually good, not poisonous as many have claimed.
In fact, there's a food movement that eats vegetables and fruits that are affected by insects as they seem to have more beneficial nutrients for humans.
Anyway, the point is, Japan has banned American fruit imports too over pesticides (due to more stringent requirements in Japan).
But Americans aren't making thousands of videos claiming their fruits are poisonous. Indians do it. Indians themselves do hit jobs against their own country's products due to politics and programming.
7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the Philippines this morning.
The footage is terrifying..but the way teachers calmly managed and protected the children is truly commendable. 🙌🏻
I'm a cardiologist. A 42-year-old mother of two came to my office complaining of jaw pain and crushing fatigue. She ran half-marathons. Her EKG was normal. Another doctor had sent her home with anxiety medication.
When I got her into the cath lab, I found severe microvascular disease — plaque choking the tiniest vessels of her heart, the ones standard angiograms routinely miss.
Her heart had been starving in silence while everyone told her she was stressed.
She is alive today. Too many women like her are not.
Heart disease kills more women than every cancer combined. And medicine is still diagnosing it through a male lens.
84% of cardiologists report having patients in the past year whose heart disease was misdiagnosed by another physician. Women with a STEMI heart attack have a 59% greater chance of being misdiagnosed compared to men. Women with an NSTEMI — 41% greater chance.
The reason is structural. For decades, we screened, tested, and treated women using a template built for men.
Men's heart attacks announce themselves — the crushing chest pain, the clutched fist, the Hollywood collapse. Women's hearts whisper. Crushing fatigue that feels like wearing a lead vest. Jaw pain written off as TMJ. Nausea blamed on a stomach bug. An ache between the shoulder blades blamed on a long week. Shortness of breath blamed on being out of shape.
For years, medicine called these "atypical" symptoms. They are not atypical. They are female-typical. Half of humanity is not a variant.
And the biology runs deeper than symptoms.
Women have smaller hearts and narrower coronary arteries. Plaque doesn't only clog the big highway vessels — it hides in the microvasculature, the tiny branches feeding the heart muscle itself. A woman can have a heart attack with a completely "clean" standard angiogram.
SCAD — spontaneous coronary artery dissection — occurs 90% of the time in women. Often young, fit women with zero traditional risk factors. It's the leading cause of heart attack in women under 50, accounting for roughly one quarter of all cases in that age group. Most doctors have never diagnosed one.
And some of the most dangerous cardiac risk factors are hidden in women's medical histories where no one thinks to look:
Preeclampsia or gestational hypertension doubles to quadruples lifetime heart disease and stroke risk. Pregnancy is the body's first cardiac stress test — and these complications are early warning sirens, not closed chapters.
Autoimmune disease — lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis — far more common in women, turbocharges inflammation and plaque formation at any age.
Cardiovascular disease in women aged 20-44 is projected to surge nearly 50% by 2050.
The youngest patients in my practice keep getting younger.
What every woman should ask her doctor — and what every doctor should be asking:
"Given my pregnancy history, autoimmune status, and family history — what is my full cardiovascular risk?" If they don't ask about preeclampsia or gestational diabetes, volunteer it.
"Should I have an Lp(a) test and a coronary calcium score?" Standard cholesterol panels miss too much. Lp(a) is genetic, one-time, and most women have never been tested.
"My tests came back normal but my symptoms haven't stopped — what's next?" Normal stress tests and angiograms can miss microvascular disease, spasm, and SCAD. Persistent symptoms warrant coronary CT angiography or cardiac MRI.
And if something feels wrong — say these exact words to your doctor: "I am concerned this could be my heart."
That single sentence changes the workup. Do not soften it. Do not apologize for it.
80% of heart disease is preventable. But the playbook has to be built for female biology.
Two decades ago, I wrote one of the first books warning that heart disease was the number one killer of women and that medicine was diagnosing it through a male lens. It was recognized by First Lady Laura Bush at the White House during the early years of the national conversation about women's heart health.
I'm haunted by how much of that book I could republish today unchanged.
The science has advanced. The awareness has grown. But the gap between what we know and what happens in the exam room is still costing women their lives.
Share this with every woman you love — and every doctor who treats them. READ MORE: https://t.co/4LRugiY8q2

Grok says:
Kwality Wall's (or Wall's) ice cream sold abroad generally does not have similar milk fat content to what was common in India last year.
Key Differences
In India (2025 context): Most standard Kwality Wall's products were labeled as "Frozen Desserts" and used vegetable fats (e.g., palm oil, often ~10%) as the primary fat source, along with milk solids for protein and texture. They did not meet FSSAI's minimum 10% milk fat requirement for true "Ice Cream." A shift toward dairy-based products began in 2025, with plans for broader transition by 2027.
- Abroad (e.g., UK/Europe, USA, Middle East, etc.):Products under the Wall's brand (or related Unilever Heartbrand lines) are typically formulated as true ice cream using dairy milk fat (from cream/milk) as the primary fat source. They meet local regulations requiring milk fat:
- USA: FDA standards require at least 10% milk fat for products labeled "Ice Cream."
- UK/Europe: Minimum fat (often 5%+), with many premium or standard lines using dairy sources. Ingredients commonly list milk, cream, or butter oil first among fats.
- Other markets (e.g., Saudi Arabia examples of Kwality products): Often include butter oil or dairy fats alongside milk powders.
This means abroad versions usually deliver a higher proportion of dairy milk fat (creaminess from animal fat) rather than vegetable oil, leading to differences in taste, texture, nutrition, and labeling.
Why the Variation?
Unilever (and now Magnum Ice Cream Company) adapts formulations to local regulations, costs, and consumer expectations. Dairy fat is more expensive, so vegetable fats were used in price-sensitive markets like India, while stricter "ice cream" definitions in places like the US enforce dairy use.
Did u know?
In India, even if u have signed an organ donor card and keep it in your wallet; .....when u die, if your family says NO.... Your organs will NOT be donated.
Have the organ donor talk with you family while u are alive and ask to promise to respect your wishes to donate your organs.
