A peek into our sessions with adolescent boys who are learning to identify, challenge, and slowly change oppressive #gender norms that encourage discrimination and #ViolenceAgainstWomen and girls.
So far, 5891 boys have been engaged in this journey in #Pune!
Boys need to understand the impact of their actions that are otherwise brushed off under the garb of #BoysWillBeBoys and "they're just having a bit of fun". And when they do realise the consequences, it impacts what they do thereon.
Shivraj's story will tell you the rest.
Our mentor, @aashish_shevale, is conducting a module on healthy #relationships with our #ActionForEquality participants in #Pune. #Consent is a big part of this conversation and we believe adolescent boys need to understand and respect the meaning of Yes, No and Maybe.
The fight to put an end to #GenderBasedViolence is a long one. We not only need to challenge the existing structures that are misogynistic in nature but we also need to learn to reflect.
Here's what our team member and programme #mentor@aashish_shevale has to say!

Our boys graduated from the final stage of the #ActionForEquality programme and what a way to finish!
With heartfelt interactions with their alumni to plays by their mentors who guided them through this journey, it was a special day indeed! More updates coming up soon.
Women are not objects, says @aashish_shevale and pledges never to sing sexist Bollywood songs. To move away from protection, and towards collaboration, we must first respect women's dignity as human beings and not objects.
First things first as #RakshaBandh begins.
Our programmes with boys ensure safe spaces for them to come together to identify, challenge and change gender-based norms that discriminate against women. To implement programmes of your own with boys, do check out our upcoming #ProjectRaise workshop-
