वर्ष 1973 में भारतीय पुलिस सेवा में चयनित सेवानिवृत्त आईपीएस अधिकारी स्व0 विक्रम श्रीवास्तव जी के दुःखद निधन पर पुलिस मुख्यालय में शोक सभा का आयोजन किया गया, इस अवसर पर @dgpup श्री प्रशांत कुमार सहित मुख्यालय में नियुक्त वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा दिवंगत अधिकारी को श्रद्धा-सुमन अर्पित कर उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी गई।

स्व0 विक्रम श्रीवास्तव को दीर्घ एवं सराहनीय सेवाओं के लिये पुलिस पदक एवं विशिष्ट सेवाओं के लिये राष्ट्रपति के पुलिस पदक से सम्मानित किया गया, इन्होंने अपने लगभग 38 वर्षों के सेवाकाल में न केवल एसपीजी एवं एसएसबी जैसी विशिष्ट इकाइयों में सेवाएं दीं, बल्कि सीआरपीएफ, आईटीबीपी एवं बीपीआरएंडडी जैसे 03 केंद्रीय पुलिस संगठनों के प्रमुख के रूप में भी कार्य किया।

इनकी कार्यनिष्ठा, नेतृत्व क्षमता एवं सेवा-भावना ने न केवल पुलिस विभाग को गौरवान्वित किया, बल्कि एक प्रेरणास्रोत स्थापित किया।
