Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at around 8 p.m. today, delivering his first speech since the launch of Operation Sindoor.

The address came two days after India and Pakistan reached an understanding to immediately halt all firings and military actions on land, air, and sea.

Operation Sindoor was launched by India on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.

During the operation, Indian armed forces targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), reportedly killing over 100 terrorists.

• Sets record straight on how Understanding on Ceasefire was reached. Pak called India.

• Nuclear blackmail won’t work, India won’t succumb. We can strike back.

• A new normal. India will monitor Pakistan closely. Op Sindoor continues.

• India will only talk to Pakistan on Terrorism and PoJK.

• Blood and Water can never flow together. Meaning Indus Water Treaty will remain in abeyance.

• Terror and Trade cannot go together.
