I don’t hate Tinubu. Political banters do not equate hate. I just love Nigeria more than I like him. He is crookedly smart in his own way using time-tested Adedibu’s Amala politics.
Olusegun Adeniyi explained the politics of Adedibu better : “When we asked what the reward was,
MoG, Peter Obi tried severally to create his own party, INEC didn’t approve it.
Esther Ummoh said this. This same INEC? MoG, during the time of Zik and all, there were democratic principles.
Now, Tinubu’s aide is making press releases for INEC.
INEC Chairman makes posts supporting APC.
Wike’s aide has access to INEC’s backend.
Heck, Abuja denied Peter Obi access for convention’s venue.
A government will to deny access to a venue would allow the creation of a political party?
Peter has momentum in 2023. He still has it more even now.
I’m saying we cannot say he is a terrible politician. Nigeria is a terrible political landscape.
And Peter is trying as much as possible to navigate it without losing his core principles.
And that’s what endears his supporters to him.
He is head and shoulders above every politician on the Nigerian political scene today.
@GazetteNGR Rephrase:
Tinubu inherited security challenges he, Buhari and APC set for PDP government under Jonathan before 2015 election.
The cup you used to measure for others will be used to measure for you; what goes round comes around
The two of you, @aonanuga1956 and @Big_marvis are not serious human beings and unpatriotic because only unserious people use debt-to-GDP ratio alone to justify borrowing.
So Nigeria is better than US or UK because US has a debt-to-GDP ratio above 120%, Japan own is above 250%, Singapore dey above 150%, France and United Kingdom are both around or above 100% but the mighty Nigeria is only 35% as managed by Tinubu. The conclusion of jesters- we need to borrow more.
Debt-to-Revenue ratio for US is about 15% o while Naija is about 85%. That of South Africa na about 22%. Egypt na about 60%, which no reach our own.
Una sabi gaslight people for this administration. Tinubu when he was in opposition also criticized our debt o. He said and I quote ““Can we continue to service external debts with 90% of our revenue? It is a path to destruction. It is not sustainable.” It was not sustainable then and not now.
Well….. Nigeria will be OK at last
Nigeria has not over borrowed compared to countries like Egypt, South Africa and West African country of Senegal. Nigeria is credit worthy and can still take more loans to finance infrastructure. The unwarranted alarm against loans is symptomatic of economic and financial ignorance.
Keeping it a buck, Peter Obi has done his part; over 3 years he’s sustained his ‘opposition momentum’, has zero scandals & has kept his promise of appearing on the ballot.
The onus is now on us. We must not only vote en masse but protect those votes with blood, sweat & tears.
I support Peter Obi because he is a thinker. And when a thinker also has willpower, such a person becomes unstoppable.
When he said he would be on the ballot in 2027, they downplayed his ability to ensure that. They are deceived by the sound of his voice and ignored him. They thought they could box him into ADC. They refused to register his political party and frustrated his efforts for reconciliation in the Labor party. Yet he rises.
For those that knew Anambra’s politics before he became the governor and how he was able to silence the Uba brothers and other political gatekeepers without sacrificing the state’s treasury to assuage their egos then you know the man get coconut head. The only political person that has been able to profile him very well is Ayo Fayose. Others kept underestimating him. They think you become an international billionaire by being stupid.
Una go learn lessons.
So Atiku, David Mark, Aregbesola and a host of entrenched Nigerian politicians lured Peter Obi into the ADC coalition just to exploit his massive grassroots influence, use his popularity to market the party nationwide, then eventually hand the presidential ticket to Atiku while boxing Obi into a corner and stopping him from contesting under another platform.
The biggest question now is: how did Peter Obi uncover the entire game plan just in time before it was too late?
“Why can’t you respect people’s political choices and opinions?”
Well, it is because it’s a matter of self-defense.
This picture was taken in 1970.
These two leftist girls joined the revolution to bring in the Ayatollah.
That’s his picture.
Well, immediately after he consolidated power, he turned against his liberal supporters.
He killed thousands. But the tragic part is that the same Ayatollah killed one of the girls in this picture.
And the other had to flee.
The question is:
if these girls had known that the man they were bringing into power would eventually kill them, would they still have supported him?
Or if they had known, and then saw others trying to bring him into power, would they have opposed them or simply “respected their choices”?
Many people think we are merely playing politics.
I will either be a direct victim or a beneficiary of the eventual political outcome.
Why then shouldn’t I oppose those I believe are supporting a candidate I’m convinced is against my existential well-being?
Politics is self-preservation and self-defense.
If someone wants to hurt me, should I simply respect their choice to do so?
Policies kill.
When Buhari mindlessly rendered the old naira untenable, people literally died because there was a cash shortage and they could not pay hospital bills.
Politics is about life and death. Tinubu negotiates with terrorists.
I heard they took tons of pupils from a school in Ondo a couple of days ago.
Would you have the effrontery to tell the parents of such children to “respect your political choice” when the man you’re campaigning for has implicitly contributed to them losing a child?
Those of you who support Tinubu should know that we are not politicians like you.
We are national pragmatists. We know policies will affect our lives.
So, if your political choice threatens my self-preservation, it is only rational self-defence for me to oppose you on that opinion.
And with all civility, humility, wisdom, and vociferous resolve, we will oppose such opinions.
NDC House rep member Afam Ogene reaps Kenneth Okonkwo into shreds - Kenneth Okonkwo is simply an actor and an actor is person who plays any assigned role
This was what I heard; that conviction in his voice, that I just rested my mind from all the ADC permutations of him being a VP candidate to Atiku again. Obi na Mr. Talk-and-Do. He won’t spend more than those 4 years if elected no matter the pressure!
Nobody has ever claimed or insinuated that Peter Obi is running for president to steal Nigeria’s money.
Not even his enemies.
That is a flex💪🏾
Happy Monday my people😊
Even if Nigeria had zoned it’s presidency betw Christians & Muslims, When it is Christian turn Atiku would have still contested. His supporters will tell U, he is a bridge builder who loves Xians & the Bible. They will tell U, he is the only back upon which Christians can climb
I ask you, my people, to empower me as your president and commander-in-chief. I will be in charge. I have the requirements for correct leadership: character, competence, commitment, compassion, hard work, honesty, humanity, and humility.
