Adiala Jail Administration’s Campaign of Misinformation Exposed; PTI Rejects Telecom Bill as Constitutional Violation and Corporate Overreach; Demands Accountability for Karachi’s Infrastructure Collapse and Immediate Medical Transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital
ISLAMABAD: Sheikh Waqas Akram, Secretary Information of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has issued a strong statement condemning the Adiala Jail administration’s persistent dissemination of misleading claims regarding the Power of Attorney documents for Chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The Islamabad High Court was presented with a written response from the jail Superintendent that PTI describes as fabrications intended to mislead the court and cast unfounded aspersions on the party’s legal team.
The legal team, comprising Barrister Salman Safdar and colleagues, made repeated visits to the jail in recent weeks and sent multiple formal communications, including through TCS, but were turned away empty-handed each time. Over the past six months, more than twenty Power of Attorney documents were sent, yet no meaningful response was received until a contempt petition was filed on June 15. Compliance came only days before the hearing and was partial, providing only Imran Khan’s document while withholding Bushra Bibi’s. The legal team rejected this selective action.
Sheikh Waqas Akram stated that these actions form part of a coordinated effort in the Al-Qadir Trust case to deny Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi meaningful legal relief and obstruct their access to the Supreme Court. The pattern of delay reflects institutional reluctance to allow higher judicial scrutiny of convictions previously overturned or stayed in open court. Letters sent to the Inspector General of Prisons Punjab and relevant authorities, including the Chief Justice of Pakistan, have yielded no effective remedial steps.
On the proposed Telecom Bill, PTI has rejected the legislation as unconstitutional, violating Articles 23 and 24 by undermining citizens’ rights to acquire, hold, and dispose of property. The bill grants private telecom companies unchecked powers to access private land under the pretext of installing equipment and shifts decision-making from courts to a government officer. Sheikh Waqas Akram observed that this legalises corporate encroachment and exposes citizens to harassment and litigation. PTI demands full public clarification from the IT Minister on transparency and possible conflicts of interest.
Addressing Karachi’s crisis, Sheikh Waqas Akram highlighted systemic failures in water supply, sanitation, and infrastructure. Residents in areas such as Baldia Town lack piped water and rely on expensive tankers. The K-IV project faces delays, water lines risk Naegleria fowleri contamination, ageing pipes mix with sewerage, groundwater is depleted by unregulated boring, and untreated sewage flows into the sea. Open manholes and drain encroachments cause repeated urban flooding. PTI maintains that only an empowered, financially autonomous local government can deliver sustainable solutions.

Today in History
On this day, 24 June 1965, Pakistan Air Force demonstrated its unmatched vigilance and operational readiness when PAF fighters scrambled to challenge an intruding Indian Air Force aircraft near the town of Badin in Sindh.
The intruder, a Dassault Ouragan (Tail Number IC 698) on an Armed Reconnaissance mission, had violated Pakistani airspace in a provocative act during a period of rising regional tensions. The aircraft was intercepted by PAF F-104 Starfighter, which compelled the intruding pilot, Flight Lieutenant Rana Lal Chand Sikka of No 51 Auxiliary Squadron from IAF’s Jamnagar Air Station, to surrender and land his aircraft in an open field near Jangshahi village. He was promptly apprehended by Pakistani authorities and treated in accordance with international conventions governing Prisoners of War. In a notable gesture of goodwill and restraint, the Government of Pakistan released Flt Lt Sikka on 14 August 1965—Pakistan’s Independence Day—underscoring the country’s commitment to peace despite adversarial provocation. Following his return to India, he was dismissed from service by Indian Air Force in 1969.
The feat remains a significant chapter in the history of PAF, reflecting its resolute defence of national airspace and the professionalism of its aircrew.

PabloReports: Do you think a reset is possible with Israel while Netanyahu is still PM?
Khanna: No. A reset is not possible while there is still occupation. It’s not just Netanyahu. You have a country that has apartheid. Until that situation is resolved and human rights are recognized, there will not be the kind of reset that you are talking about.
Israel is deliberately killing Palestinian children.
Not by mistake. Not by accident.
To destroy the biological continuity of Gaza.
To erase future generations before they are born.
There is a word for that: GENOCIDE.
The money being sent from USAID wasn’t for humanitarian efforts. USAID money was being LAUNDERED TO GEORGE SOROS to pay for protests
Mike Benz exposes USAID has been sending money to George Soros NGOs, he then uses that money to FUND AND TRAIN PROTESTERS
USAID paying for street protest handbooks to be printed
“USAID gave $5 million to Open Society Foundation — USAID is actually funding George Soros and Soros is passing those funds to the people on the ground.”
“USAID paid to have Saul Alinsky Street protest handbooks printed.”
“The local politicians, the local judges, the local prosecutors, the local anti-corruption NGOs, the local media outlets, the local trade labor, labor groups and unions.”
This is 100% true and it’s publicly available information
In 2001, the Soros foundations network was listed USAID among its “donor partners” alongside other government aid agencies. There have been many documented collaborations
We funded these protests handbooks

A new book by the Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan provides a vivid, rigorous, and unavoidably depressing chronicle of the first year of Donald Trump’s second term in the White House. “Regime Change” is packed with news that will stay news, David Remnick writes. It is particularly strong on the Administration’s colossal financial corruption, its heedless destruction of invaluable agencies such as U.S.A.I.D., and the sordid and unhinged nature of Trump and the culture over which he presides. Haberman and Swan contend that Trump ran in 2024 for one reason above all: “This was about staying out of prison.” Read Remnick on their “exceptional” book: https://t.co/JN3cm6pxD7

Rabbi Moshe Indig: Antisemitism Accusations Against Mayor Are Disingenuous — “It’s About Fighting AIPAC and the Zionist Government”
Moshe Indig, a Hasidic rabbi and leader in Brooklyn’s anti-Zionist Satmar sect, disagreed, arguing the latest accusations of antisemitism against the mayor are disingenuous.
“The idea that ‘monster’ means antisemitism —definitely not,” said Indig, who endorsed Mamdani just before last year’s November mayoral election.
“They are upset that he’s against the Zionist government and no matter what he does, whatever he says, whatever word he uses, they will criticize him.
They are upset that he’s fighting against AIPAC. That’s what this is about.”
For decades, international institutions and Western governments have failed to stop Israeli crimes and violations of international law.
In this speech, the speaker argues that the ongoing displacement of Palestinians is not merely the result of Israeli policies, but also of a global system that has allowed them to continue without meaningful accountability.
Reporter: Some members of the Jewish community, including Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer, were alarmed by the language you used at the rally last week, calling AIPAC monsters who move dark money.
Mamdani: I want to be very clear. We’re talking about a status quo where children are being killed on a daily basis. More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military since the so-called ceasefire.
Even an Al Jazeera journalist, Ahmed Wishah, was killed this past Saturday by an Israeli strike. And when I am speaking about AIPAC, I’m speaking about an organization that has been supportive of the status quo, that has fought any attempt to actually deliver safety to people not just in Palestine but, frankly, throughout much of the region.
And it is a status quo of immorality. It is one that I will not accept. And when it comes to the way in which they defend the status quo, oftentimes they defend it through direct contributions, as we are seeing right now in New York 13.
Oftentimes they also support the status quo through dark money, by funneling money that would have previously come directly from AIPAC through other organizations whose contributors’ identities are only made clear after an election.
And I think it is important that when we ask ourselves how such death and destruction is happening overseas, we also name those who allow it to take place.
