Today
CRED is ready for its next phase. I am stepping back and @miten steps in as interim CEO, partnered with an incredibly talented team. He has been heading strategy and finance and suffering me since 2020. I’m stepping away from the operating role and will continue as a shareholder. My commitment doesn’t change. Just the role.
Extremely grateful to our members, partners, regulators, and investors who made this possible. And to our board, Shailendra, Micky, Saurabh for their extraordinary conviction.
Team CRED, I’ll still expect you to be a 10x version of yourselves.
As for me, I’ll be joining Meta to lead WhatsApp globally.
Meta comes in as a minority investor in CRED. No access to member data.
While it’s come very far, the delta between WhatsApp today and its full potential is massive. I look forward to working with Mark, Chris, and the leadership across Meta for the next step in WhatsApp’s journey. Will, thank you for scaling something the world relies on quietly, and for making this transition smooth.
Onwards.
IMPORTANT: In this season of political splits and mergers, the Supreme Court’s questionable role has largely escaped scrutiny.
1) The SC is yet to deliver a final ruling on the Shiv Sena (UBT) appeal filed in January 2024 challenging the Maharashtra Assembly Speaker’s decision on the party split. That’s 30 months, four CJIs and counting.
2) The SC is also yet to rule on a petition filed by Goa Congress leader Girish Chodankar in March 2022 challenging a Bombay High Court order related to defections. More than four years have passed.
When the history of this period is written, the Supreme Court’s performance as a constitutional guardian must come under serious examination.🙏
A big boost to ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’…
It’s a matter of immense delight that Parliament has passed the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill 2026. This Bill strengthens a trust-based framework that empowers our citizens. It marks the end of rules and regulations that are outdated. At the same time, it ensures speedy disposal of cases, reduces litigation burden with decriminalisation.
What is also noteworthy is the consultative approach with which this Bill was drafted.
My compliments to all those who have given their insights towards the drafting of the Bill and supported it in Parliament.
CASE STATUS UPDATE 🚔
Earlier complaint: Ball going missing.
New complaint: Entire batting lineup going missing.
Our assessment: This is not a law & order problem.
This is Bumrah. 🎯🇮🇳

Champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal win for Team India in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no match for the explosive cricket played by us throughout the tournament. Brilliant character shown by the boys to keep fighting in tough situations and become world champions once again. Congratulations to all the players and all the members of the management for achieving this feat. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️
Winning the World Cup twice in a row, the first time any team has done so in the T20 format. Totally deserving and rightful winners of the trophy.
What a fantastic performance by our team and a special brand of cricket on display.
Well done, Team India. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳🏆
The difference between India’s bowlers and New Zealand’s bowlers today is that India are using the slower, short-pitched balls much more effectively, and varying the lengths better. That becomes important on a ground like this and can play a big role, where the square boundaries are longer than the straight ones.
Champions!
Congratulations to the Indian team on winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup!
This remarkable triumph reflects exceptional skills, determination and teamwork. They have shown outstanding grit through the tournament.
This victory has filled every Indian heart with pride and joy.
Well done, Team India!
Whenever India needed someone put their hand up and got the team through. Of course Sanju with the bat and Bumrah with ball were the brightest stars but this has been a complete team effort! Well played champions, to stick to your guns and play no fear cricket in the high pressure of a home WC is commendable. Deserving winners! Congratulations @surya_14kumar@GautamGambhir@BCCI and all involved 👏🏻👏🏻🇮🇳🏆
Congratulations to the selectors for backing Sanju Samson.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was kept out. Shubman Gill was kept out. Ishan Kishan was moved to 3 despite doing well as an opener. These are big names in Indian Cricket.
Every-time Sanju failed to get a big score, the criticism was loud. How can you keep Jaiswal out? How can you keep Gill out? Why is the order being tinkered to accommodate him?
I must admit, I didn't believe in Samson either. I didn't think he could consistently do well. I expected him to play a good game here and there.
But kudos to the selectors for sticking to their guns. That's why they make the big bucks. They took the heat in the press and social media, but backed their player.
Sanju Samson repaid their faith with three match-winning knocks in three knockout games. That's the best response - let your bat do the talking.
Take a bow, Sanju Samson.
