VIP Culture lives on despite tall talk of austerity: Prime Ministerial entourage, traveling on regular PIA flight from Jeddah-Islamabad with 380 passengers going home for Eid, faces triple whammy: 2 hour delay in take-off, instead of flying to its scheduled destination, Islamabad, it is diverted to Lahore to ‘accommodate’ the VIPs & after the VIPs leave, the flight remains stranded for another 2 hours, adding to the miseries of the ‘ordinary’ Pakistanis! The Mughal Mindset of our Rulers lives on as they feel a sense of entitlement, hence, not even an Apology is offered for the inconvenience & misery caused to the poor passengers!
