@GhostofMaxE@martianwyrdlord attention and praise, they tend to be very miserable, angry people behind the scenes. I have had two antifa roommates and lived in the heart of Burlington VT.
@GhostofMaxE@martianwyrdlord Having spoken to and interacted with these people irl on a daily basis for the past 4 years, I can safely say that the vast majority are only doing what they believe other people think is good as a self-serving performance. Unless they are getting 1/
@LochamyForMayor@_sn_n Ask anybody IN Vermont, they will tell you how bad Newport, Rutland, Barre, Bennington, Brattleboro, Springfield, and Burlington have all gotten. Also nobody says "I'm a hardcore maga blah blah blah" are you old enough to be on social media?
@LochamyForMayor@_sn_n You are either full of crap or you just have no idea what you are talking about. Burlington always has people living in tents everywhere, shooting up fentanyl and xylazine, stealing cars and appliances, drug dealing and prostitution.
@zspencer9735@rodrigo91213801@xwanyex Then maybe we could take that opportunity to try something else instead of universal suffrage because it seems like really we just get lowest common denominator results. Everything turns to shit.
@zspencer9735@rodrigo91213801@xwanyex I support women's right to vote (in the current system). I just don't think they should unless they know what they're doing and have really thought it through. Same thing with abortions. If the system collapses one day 1/
@LochamyForMayor@_sn_n No. There is no difference here. Everything on the right is also everywhere in blue states. The difference is that Blue states are overrun with homeless people and drugs. ESPECIALLY Vermont.
@DhaliwalDilsher@rodrigo91213801@xwanyex America over your brain damaged magic school bus neo-progressive gay race communist global hegemonic empire of transhumanist product purchasing globs.
@DhaliwalDilsher@rodrigo91213801@xwanyex I didn't say that was *my* position. My position would be much further to the right of @xwanyex on some topics and definitely to the left on others. I don't consider myself a conservative, though I would prefer to live in a conservative 1/
@xwanyex I like capitalism. I just don't like consumerism. Or having a service-based economy instead of a broad range of all industries. Or being $40T in debt and having to purchase resources from other countries purely for diplomatic reasons.
@Inplainsightyyy@xwanyex What you consider an American instinct has this past century become more of a global "instinct" you also see in any country built on economic compartmentalization and debt.
@Inplainsightyyy@xwanyex Its consumerism. Consumers have been trained to believe "out with the old and in with the new." Every month new songs on the radio. New vehicle every 5 years. New phone every two years. New clothes and tv shows every season.
