To hear either of those sang on stage and in crowd would have been a powerful message of a desire for a peaceful future. Why can't bands and crowds be hopeful rather than hateful?

@DAaronovitch I would argue that a chant of death to the IDF is primarily and secondarily anti semitic, as it is a direct, and indirect call for the destruction of the state of Israel and its inhabitants

@DAaronovitch But given the IDF is a conscription army necessary for the defense and continued existence of israel most of whose soldiers are Jews (and I want recognise the contribution non-jewish citizens of Israel play in the IDF).
