..purchased books from the stall. All books were donated by the family of the late George Glass and all proceeds were for my graves restoration projects. One very happy wife also! At a rough guesstimate, I took about 600 books with less than 300 coming home π·π·
A fantastic day as always @ NI Football Programme & Memorabilia Fair. In the ever changing world of collecting the crowds still keep coming. A lot of work is put into organising the event so big thanks to all involved. On a personal note - thanks so much to all who... 1/2

Today we remember Sam Torrans who passed away on 8th May 1948
Sam is one of the all-time Linfield greats and played in the clubs very first match in 1886. Sam was ever-present until 1904. During that period the Blues lifted their first 32 trophies including 7 Irish League..

...titles & 8 Irish Cups! π
Sam also won 26 caps for Ireland βοΈ
For over 77 years Sam Torrans has lay in a totally unmarked grave in the City Cemetery π’. Thankfully, through supporters efforts with badge purchases etc., this will not be the case going forward ππ
Happy 77th Birthday to the main man SAMMY NELSON ππ.
Little did Sammy know what effect he made on me when he gave me (as a 9 year old) one of his International shirts all those years ago!
It was my 1st players shirt and started me collecting.
Happy Birthday Sammy ππππ
Sad to learn of the passing of an Irish League star of the 60's
Derry City & Crusaders legend Billy 'Bumper' Cathcart, who lived in Ahoghill was 88. Bumper was part of the @derrycityfc team that won the club's only Irish League title in 1965 and also the 1964 Irish Cup.

With Isaac having an 9 o'clock kick off this morning & the Blues match not kicking off until 6 tonight, it give me a few hours to go Linfield grave hunting! I have made a bit of a video diary to show how the day went π₯
It is over 7 short clips(around a minute each) 1/7
@FredericksBrent From what I have at hand, it looks like he scored 20 goals in 29 matches. Coleraine were very poor that season with Tickle about the only sucess for them!
Today we remember Norman Uprichard on the 15th anniversary of his death
A member of the 1958 World Cup squad and starred in the famous 2-1 play-off victory over Czechoslovakia,he would have undoubtedly added a lot more to his 18 caps only for his good friend Harry Gregg. cont..
At the recent "PLAYERS AGAINST DEMENTIA" launch held at Windsor Park, this special shirt was auctioned to help raise funds for the newly formed Charity.
Michael Jones, a great Blueman was successful in the auction and has donated it to us to raffle.
We cannot thank..... 1/2
The least said about the match the better π. Although the team didn't turn up, it was great to see such a wonderful crowd!
The response to our new badge was phenomenal. All 200 sold out within an hour of the gates opening.
Many thanks again β€οΈπ€π
